Show News Highlights About Spring Glen Folks Mrs. Jack Bain spent the weekend at her home before returning to Salt Lake City where she is taking care of her who is ill. Mrs, Pace Boyack spent three days in Salt Lake City where she underwent medical treatments. She also visited at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pricilla step-daught- er Wes-tensko- Mr. and Mrs. Willis Olsen, Sr., of Mutual, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Olsen of Spring Canyon, and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Olsen, Jr., visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Haycock. Mrs. Madge Ilenscn was guest of honor at a birthday dinner Friday given by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Rowley. A huge birthday cake was the outstanding center-piecMr. and Mrs. James Hansen of Price were guests attending. The monthly leadership meeting of the North Carbon stake was Sunday at Helper. Spring Glen ladies were in charge of presenting the program. Mrs. Shirley Ka- e. out-of-to- bonic and Mrs. Doris Blackham sang "Star of the East. The relatives and friends from who attended the funeral for John Rolando were Mrs. Teresa Ward, Mrs. Bernice Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Fassio, Mrs. Ila McOrtcy and Mr. and Mrs. Vem Ward of Missoula, Montana; Mrs. Ann Babich of Chicago, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. James Rolando of San Diego, California; Mrs. Jack Kershberger of Glendale, California; Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Fassio and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Airiotti of Salt Lake City. Miss Sylvia Bendetti spent Fri out-of-to- day through Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bendetti. Miss Bendetti is taking nurses training at the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. George A. Rowley returned home Sunday evening after spending the past two weeks in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Roger Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen, returned home last week after spending two years in Germany with Uncle Sams Army. The Bluebird class of the Primary, whose leader is Mrs. Mrytle Wharff, gave a demonstration party for parents Sunday. Each child took part in the program. They were Jona Picconi, Helen Jensen, Deanna Rowley, Shirley Tanner, Cally Robertson, Paula Rowley and Linda Wharff. The parents, who were served refreshments and presented gifts were Mr. and Wendell Wharff, Mrs. Harriet Rowley, Mrs. Sarah Row-leMrs. Edith Picconi, Mr. Reid Tanner, Bishop and Mrs. John Neilson, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Goodrich and Hymn Huntsman. The girls were presented with lanterns for their bandlo by Mrs. Ma y, rie Greenland of Castle Gate, the stake Primary representative. A birthday party was given Monday afternoon by Mrs. Lee Rowley for her daughter, Deanna, who was eleven years old. Young guests were Jona Picconi, Lucy Garcia, Micki Adele, April, Paula and Marye Rowley, Susan Kilgore, Jackie Pilling and Helen Jensen. Refreshments were served after which they all played games and Deanna opened her presents. Louis Vetere of Price has purchased the Peter Henry Anderson property and has started to level the ground for building a home. Mrs. Elaine Nelson left Wednesday morning for Salt Lake City where she will board a plane for Chicago, Illinois, and on to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where she will be met by her husband, Donnie Nelson, who has spent the past two years on a mission for the LDS Church in the Eastern Canadian mission field: The young couple will spend some time in Peter-borOntario, where Elder Nelson spent the major part of his time.
