Show Five Disease Cases Dragerton Area Happenings Recorded Mrs. Edwin Alberts returned Friday from Salt Lake City where she had been confined in the Holy Cross hospital. December 3 she underwent surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Henderson received word this week of the death of Guy F. Rose of Kemmer-er- , Wyoming. Mr. Rose was the father of Mrs. Henderson and Lester Rose, of Dragerton. Mr. and Mrs. Rose accompanied the Hendersons to Kemmerer for the funeral services which were held on Thursday. The elder Mr. Rose suffered a heart attack a week ago. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bobo left Dragerton Saturday for San Fran cisco, California, where Mr. Bobo will enroll in the Simpson Bible College. The Bobos have resided in Etragerton since last May. Mr. Bobo has been an instructor of the young people of the Community church. At the completion of his schooling in June, Mr, Bobo will be ready to assume the responsibilities of a pastor with the Christian Alliance churches. Reverend and Mrs. Norman Nelson accompanied Reverend and Mrs. Bud Johnson of Price on a trip to Salt Lake City Monday. Members of the Guadalupan Society of the Good Shepherd church conducted a processional at the church at 3 p.m. Sunday. This was in honor of the virgin Guadalupe. Children of the church were dressed in colorful Mexican costumes. Each lady of the organization presented the virgin with a a rose in a colorful ceremony. Sun day night members of the society entertained their husbands and other guests at a social in the re creational room of the church, Games and light refreshments were enjoyed by the group. Mrs. Carlos Gonzales, president of the society, was in charge of arrangements. Adeline Madrid was in charge of entertainment. The Catholic Youth Organization held a meeting at the church Monday night. Mr. Diana Bayer was guest speaker. She discussed The Evils of Smoking and Drinking. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing with light rfershments being served. A delightful dinner party was enjoyed by members of the East Carbon junior high school faculty and their partners Thursday night. Mrs. Evelyn Varner, home economics instructor, was in charge of the dinner. She was assisted by Leah Lindsey. Gerald Robbins was toastmaster for the occasion. During the hour preceding the dinner, games were enjoyed under the direction of Arvilla King. During the dinner the following program was rendered : Reading, Shirley Goodenough; piano solos, Frank Van Cott; reading. Iris Van Cott; vocal solos, Gerald Robbins; comments, Russell Fryer. Beverly Wall and Mr. and Mrs. Corky Wall of Provo were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wall. The group enjoyed a birthday dinner given in Beverlys honor. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Evans, and accompanied by Mathew Ramirez spent Saturday at Beaver. Sunday dinner guests at the Harold Lambert home were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wells of Wellington.
