Show 0 AT KENILWORTH Last Thursday the Explorers met with thoir advisers, Frank Bertot, to formulate plans for a swimming party at Park Springville, this Saturday. Recent recruits are Keith Johansen, Kenneth Brown, Ross Crhistensen and Ray Brown. The other members of Explorer Post 2277 are James Juliano, James Burnside, Morrell Davis, Roger Bryan, Boyd Robertn son and Jerry Gordon. Boyd is also assisting with Explorer activity. Wednesday evening at the chapel all the women and girls of the community were invited to attend a lecture on cancer by Dr. Roy Robinson. A film on the subject was shown by Olive Hughes, who allowed the use of the school projector. The lecture was sponsored by the LDS Relief Society. Members of Kenilworth LDS ward bishopric drove to the North Carbon Stake farm Saturday to make a survey of work to be done and materials needed to complete the project recently assigned to the ward. In the next few weeks ward members must build a new trough, probably of concrete, install an pipe line from the g pond to the trough and fence the pond and access lanes. Saturday at the North Carbon stake farm Les Robertson and Boyd fulfilled their annual chore of branding the calves. Said Les, "There werent very many this year, but they were sure big! Violent winds blew down all but one of the huge wooden forms being readied for the pouring of the concrete walls. Workmen labored Tuesday and Wednesday to repair damages before building could be continued. The concrete will be poured by the Eastern Utah Development Company.
