Show THE Page Eight " FINE ARTS STUDY CLUB BEGINS YEAR'S ACTIVITIES The Fine Arts Study Club began its yearly activities September 8 at the Hiawatha banquet rooms with a business meeting. The table was decorated with a centerpiece of gladioli and green candles flanking. Dessert was served and nut cups were given each lady. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. LaRee Vogrinec and Mrs. Madge Lopan. HOWARD-BIEN- Z MARRIAGE Juanita Howard, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Marion Howard of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Raymond Bienz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bienz, Dragerton, were married September 11 at the home of the grooms grandmother, Mrs. Blanche Black, in Grand Junction. Loretta Howard was maid of honor and Melvin Kelley stood as best man. Reverend J. E. Austell performed the ceremony. The newlyweds are making their home in Grand Junction. WIMMS HOLD ELECTIONS A dinner meeting for the J. C. Wimms was held at Jeanselmes Cafe Tuesday evening, September 20. After the dinner the group went to the home of Emmy Wilson where a new slate of officers were elected. Arlene Hurst will lead the group as president for the coming year, assisted by Cleo Shurtz as vice president, Barbara Chugg as secretary and treasurer, Charlene Leidick and Denise Mc-Inti- re as directors and Mary Bunnell as reporter. A film on the recent national J. C. convention was shown to the group. RECEPTION Mr. and Mrs. Lyman M. Nicoll NICOLL-GARUC- - '; 8ih 4 K will be honored at a wedding reception and dance in the Welling-to- n school gymnasium Saturday evening, September 25. Invitation have been issued by the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vearl Gar-lic- k of Wellington. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex B. Nicoll of Mesa, Arizona. The newlyweds were married in the Salt Lake LDS temple Thursday, September 8. They were honored that evening at a reception in the South Thirteenth LDS ward recreation hall. The petite bride was charming in a floor-lengt- h gown of Chantilly lace and tulle paneled over white satin. The round neckline of the bodice was outlined with hand-cu- t lace medallions. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink rosebuds. Her veil of bridal illusion was caught to a crown of seed pearls. The bridesmaids were, Jean Burnett, Carlyn Hanson and Car-m-a Bunderson, who wore identical gowns of baby blue brocaded taffeta with matching mitts. They carried nosegays of pink and white carnations. The brides mother wore a blue crepe afternoon dress. Performing duties as best man was Sherril Willis of Mesa, Arizona. Since their wedding they have been honeymooning in Mesa, and returned to Utah in time for the opening of school at Brigham Young University in Provo where Mr. Nicoll is studying. NUPTIALS RECITED AT NOTRE DAME One of the loveliest weddings of the season took place Saturday morning, September 10, at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic church in Price when Miss Maxine Pacheco, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Pacheco of Price, became the bride of Julian Paiz, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Paiz of Helper. The bride was radiantly lovely as she ascended the aisle on the arm of her father. Her wedding gown was an original floor-lengmodel of imported white Chantilly lace over nylon tulle and taffeta with train. Her finger tip veil of illusion was caught in a lace head-piec- e trimmed with seed pearls. Her bouquet was of white stepha-noti- s centered with white orchid PACHECO-PAI- Z and white streamers. Senior bridesmaids Lois McFarlane, Shirlene Paiz, Juanita Paiz and Bemadetta Harris were gowned in identical models of pink net. The bridesmaids all carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations. The Reverend John A. performed the double-rin- g ceremony before the altar banked with white gladiolas and chrysan- dependability he Mrs. R. T. Mitchell themums. played the traditional wedding march and accompanied Mrs, Claude Cowley and Mrs. Paul Holdaway who sang three numbers during the nuptial Mass which followed the marriage ceremony. Danny Paiz performed the duties of best man for his brother.
