GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED BY COUPLE The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller will be observed with a family gathering at their home 234 South Carbon Avenue Sunday, September 11, from 2 to 5. The couples six daughters, 13 grandchildren and are all extwo pected to be in attendance as well as brothers and sisters and a few .close friends. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were married in Castle Dale September 13, 1905. He was bom in Mount Pleasant in 1885, the son of Mary and Peter C. Miller. Mrs, Miller (Mattie) was born in Castle Dale in 1886, the daughter of Mathilda Johnson and Carl Wilberg, The couple lived in Castle Dale until 1937 when they moved to Carbon county. Mr. Miller begem working in the mines when he was 13 years of age. He has been employed by all the mines in Carbon county at some time in his life. He retired from the Kenilworth mine in 1919 and has since resided in Fred-ericks- CATHOLIC CHURCH RITES The wedding of Jimmy Vega and Evelyn Gallegos was solemnized in rites held at the Good Shepherd Catholic church at Dragerton on September 1 at 10 a.m. Father John Sanders officiated at the ceremony. The bride was attractive in her ballerina gown of white French lace and satin. She wore a fingertip veil of illusion and carried a bouquet of red roses. Bridesmaids were Anita Vega, sister of the groom, and Jolene Fowler. Anita wore a pink formal gown of net and taffeta and a pink hat. Jolene wore a lavender dress of French lace and taffeta and a lavendar hat. Both girls carried bouquets of peppermint carna tions. At five oclock a reception was held in the Catholic church hall.
