He graduated from Carbon high this past spring and before enlisting in the navy he was employed at the Pintus Service Station, Price Youth Enlists For Naval Service Frederick Jan Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Larsen, 339 South First East, Price, was one of the men enlisted with the U. S. navy through the Price navy recruiting substation during the month of August, it was reported today by L. D. Jones, recruiter in Price. charge. Helen Trauntvein left Salt Lake City today (Thursday) on the first lap of the journey to Australia, where shp will serve 18 months as an LDS missionary. The group went by bus to Ogden, where they transferred to train for the ride to San Francisco. At Frisco the missionaries will board the SS Arcades. The ship will dock at Van days. The occasion was happy but tinged with a sadness since Helen is leaving the family group for a year and a half. Mrs. Trauntvein is going to Salt Lake City this week to stay with Eva for two weeks while Jimmy is taking two-weeschooling at San Francisco. A member of the naval reserve, Jimmy recently received a promotion, and the schooling is a part of his naval training. B.
