The sentiments of the youngsters present was aptly expressed by the Reverend LaBranche when he stated that the greatest thing that has happened to Notre Dame since its doors were opened and since the Sisters of Charity began teaching here is when Jack Kobe joined our faculty. John Mooney, sports editor of the Salt Lake Tribune, was the guest speaker on the program and he expressed faith in the athletic future of Notre Dame as its enrollment grows and under Clara Pretiger, Nataline Albo, Brent Nelson, Rosalee Salzetti and Pat Lami. The biologists point out that nr single stream would have exactlj this ratio of fish populations. Records show Mammoth Creek near Panguitch, as one of the better trout streams covered, with a trout population of 54 pounds tc the mile. During the 1953 season however, 850 pounds of trout were harvested from each mile of this stream. This rate of turnover might be questionable until it is realized that seasonal planting of hatchery legals makes such a high production to the creel common on this stream as in many others over the state.
