Mr. end Mrs. Leonard Holbrook, of the Geneva Variety furnished the flowers. BLUE BIRDS ENJOY EASTER PARTY The Blue Birds, the small fry of . the Camp Fire group, had fun last Friday afternoon at an Easter party. Refreshments were served and everyone had a good time playing games and bingo. Prizes were Easter eggs. Mrs. Jay Sevy and Mrs. Merlin Hays engineered the party fun. Black, 341 Berkley, Dragerton, was married April 18 In the Manti Temple to Forest Grant Smith, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Grant Smith of Price. A lovely wedding reception was held the evening of April 18 at the Third Ward chapel. Price. Mr. Smith is working for Kaiser Steel company at Sunnyside. The marriage of Miss Mahleres, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mahleres, to Staff Sergeant Richard N. Hayes, Las Vegas, Nevada, will be a prominent social event on Sunday, April 27. Among the first to entertain for was Mrs. Luke the bride-to-- be Pappas, who was hostess at a shower and luncheon at her home on Thursday evening of last week. Table decorations centered around a bridal theme featuring a brides doll, pink carnations and white stock end pink tapers. A pink covered basket held the shower gifts. The guests included Mrs. Steve J. Diamanti, Mrs. Nick H. Mahleres, Mrs. John H. Mahleres, Mrs. Angelo Mahleres, Mrs. Nick G. Pappas, Mrs. John G. Pappas, Mrs. Gust C. Vouros, Mrs. Angelo Chavalis, Mrs. E. E. Monger, Miss Madeline Sampinos and Mrs. John S. Sampinos, On Tuesday evening Miss Mahleres was complimented with a delightful buffet supper and linen shower presided over by Mrs. John Mahleres and Mrs. Arco Po-lo- ni at the Mahleres home. The bridal theme was attractively carried in spring flowers. Brides entertainment games provided and each guest wrote her favorite recipe which was compiled into a book for the future bride. Comprising the guest list were Miss Ellen Aageson, Mrs. Lucian Reid, Mrs. Jay Marx, Mrs. Lloyd Har-Mr- s. Jay Marx, Mrs. Lloyd Harrison, Miss Jean Woodhead, Miss Lois Christensen, Mrs. June Bell, Mrs. Glen Truseott, Mrs. Steve Diamanti Mrs. Harold Nelson, Miss Darcia McDonald, Miss Madeline Sampinos and Mrs. Bill Welsh. Mrs. Steve J. Diamanti Entertained at a family party for Miss Mahleres at her home in Helper on Wednesday evening. Following the tasty luncheon served by the hostess, guests enjoyed visiting as they wrapped the favors which will be passed out during the wedding reception in honor of the young couple. Special guests included Mrs. Harry Hayes, mother of the prospective groom, Mrs. L. H. Merrill and Mrs. Birdie Baldwin of Hiawatha. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Dr. and Mrs. Walter William Carveth of Lincoln, Nebraska, announce the engagement of their daughter, Joan, to T. Lawrence McKee, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. McKee of Price. Miss Carveth is a graduate from the University of Nebraska where she is affiliated with Alphi Phi sorority. Mr. McKee is a sophomore at Nebraska College of Dentistry and is a member of Delta Sigma Delta. The engagement was announced at a family dinner on Wednesday, April 2. McKinnon The young couple, both formerly of Price, were joined in matrimony on April 15 at Elko, Nevada. Mr. McKinnon is now serving with the United States navy at San Diego, California.
