Show THE Page Eight Shirley Oveson Reigns As Queen of Stake Gold and Green Ball Deadline Placed On Training Under Vets Bill Hears Again This was indicated Wednesday in a release prepared by the Veterans of Foreign Wars from information gathered from the Veterans Administration, Washington, D. C. The release stated that VA is preparing a regulation for issue around April 1, affecting the deadline date for original entry into training under and the rehabilitation and educational provisions of the GI bill. The regulation sets the deadline for entry or into education and training courses as July 25, 1951. Veterans who wish to take advantage of GI bill benefits after this date must be enrolled in a course and be receiving actual training by the deadline date. This also affects veterans who are in school or training on July 25 of next year. After that date they will not be permitted to change courses without approval of the VA. Further, the release stated, any veteran who drops out of school after the July deadline will not be permitted to at a later re-ent- ry re-ent-ry represented with a beautiful queen in a gorgeous gown.
