Recent safety advances also are cited. About eight and a half miles northwest of Orangeville, Emery county, the mine employed five men and produced about 30 tons of coal daily when revisited in February by Inspector A. J. Kopp. Although some rock dust had been applied in this dry and dusty mine, Inspector Kopp recommended that the current program be broadened and intensified.
