There are always a few smart alecks who want to stand up and rock the boat. But most people try to keep out of trouble. The same sort of thing happens in the retailing of beer. The great majority of beer retail establishments are clean, and wholesome. But occasionally you may find a smart aleck retailer who violates the law or permits antisocial conditions. We of the brewing industry want these retailers wiped out! Because they imperil your right to drink good beer... and our right to make it. law-abidi- anti-soci- BEER.ssCi beverage We want to protect the benefits that beer has brought to Utah employment for 3,745 persons since relegalization, an annual payroll of $3,446,963 and taxes of $116,801.53 paid to the state last year. This state, too, has an important stake in Beers purchases from over 100 industries supplying the brewing industry with materials, equipment and services. You can help us in our program by (1) patronizing only reputable and legal beer establishments and (2) by reporting any irregularities you may see to the proper authorities. of moderation public-spirite- d A new athletic coach was named for the North Emery High school at the last minute before school started. The new man is Earl D. Hone of Box Elder county. Verl Wilde of Coalville, coach at Moroni for several years, was announced as coach at first. However, at the last minute, he decided to take a defense job instead. Hone graduated from the Brigham Young university in 1934, after which he was on the staff of the physical education department for five years at the Bear River High school. He had a business job last year, and returns to school work this season as athletic coach for the North Emery Rangers. He was a star athlete in his high school and college days, but an injury forced him out of competitive sports. He handled personnel work at the Bear River school, where he had some experience in line coaching. This appointment makes three changes this year in the Carbon-Emer- y district. Coach Jackson Jewkes has replaced Pres Summerhays and George Young at the Carbon Senior High school and Odell Peterson succeeds Harvey England at Green River. Other coaches of the district are Brad Jensen at South Emery at Fer-ro- n and Gus Black at Central High in Castle Dale. Football is not played at the Emery county schools so Coach Hones work doesnt start until the basketball season rolls around. However, it is reported that he has a prospective team of boys who have each had one Fri 5:00 PM Mon thru Fri 7:00 PM Mon thru Sat 10:00 PM Mon thru Sat MINE REPORTS 7:30 AM Mon thru Sat 6 :30 PM Mon thru Sat 7:00 PM Sundays 9:30 PM Mon thru Sat 0 John B.
