H. Young reveals that the various departments generally are staying well within their allotments, and accounts are in good condi ion. The general lund budget allotment of $71,797.90 for the year was only 46.74 per cent expended as of June 30. Among the other funds, the temporary transient relief, county physician, et cetera, fund, was 77.17 percent expended, due chiefly to unanticipated demands for hospitalization for indigents. Budget allotment for the year for this fund is $12,049.64. Large purchases of equipment earlier in the year account for the fact that 58.92 per cent of the $21,000 set up for class B roads is now spent.
