The brothers championship of Utah will be at stake in the e series between the Lindsey Brothers of Sunnyside and the Watt Brothers of Murray, first game of w hich will be played in the high school gymnasium at Murray on Saturday, March 9. The following Saturday, March 16, the teams will meet at Price, the floor not having been decided upon as yet. For this occasion, the Lindsey Brothers ask the support of Carbon county. If a third game should be required to choose the brothers championship, monthly Federal January and Survivors Insurance benefit payments began under the Social Security act. These provide, among other things, that the wife of an annuitant also may receive monthly payments if she is 65 years old. Her monthly payments will be of her husbands benelit, according to William B. Hayward, field manager of the Salt Lake City olfice of the Social Security board. "For example, he said, "Mr. Brown, now 65 years old, retires in 1940 from his job in a mill and quale ifies for insurance benefits. His wife is 62 years old. This means she must wait about three years before she can receive benefits. If the husbands benefit amounts to $30 a month, a wife will receive $15 per month after she has reached 65. In households w'here the wife as well as the husband is an insured wage earner, she will receive, when she leaches 65, her own Federal Old-AInsurance payment instead of the supplemtnary benefit from herj husbands claim. When her benefit' is less than the1 supplementary bene- fit provided in connection with her husbands annuity, she will receive her own benefit plus enough from tne supplementary benefit to make up the difference. Example: Suppose Mrs. Brown has had a job in covered employment. Slie reaches 65 and files a ela.m lor e insurance. It is found that her own monthly benefit will be $10 per month. In addition to her benefit of $10, she will receive a benefit of $5 per month m connection with Mr. Browns annuity payments. 1, Elmo Resident Dies WPA Lacks Projects At Price Hospital; Funeral Rites Held For Employing Labor March Specials... 1 You cant value your life very highly it you attempt cleaning in your home with any inflammable liFne Chief Nick Bernard! quid, warned this week, as spring housecleaning time drew near. Any cleaning w ith gasoline inside the home is extiemely hazardous because of the volatile nature of the fluid. Gasoline vapor mixes with the air and spreads rapidly. In the correct proportions, this mixture of air and vapor is a powerful explosive as demonstrated in the motor of your automobile. It is difficult to determine accurately the lire loss and injuries caused by cleaning with dangerous fluids in the home, but reports of the fire underwriters board indicate that fire takes a heavy toll annually thousands lose their lives.
