Show THE PAGE SIX SOCIETY-CLUB- SUN-ADVOCA- P R T I C S Double Wedding Of Price Girls Holds Social Spotlight An event of wide social intei est in Price was the double wedding Monday evening of Miss Lola May Horsley and Miss Erma Sylvia Horsley, daughters of Mr. and Mrs Albert E. Horsley at the family home. Miss Lola Horsley was married to Vyron E. Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Evans of Ogden. Miss Eima Horsley was mariied to Edwin E. Burnside, son ol Mr. and Mis. Earl Burnside of Kenilworth. The double ceiemony was perfoi by Bishop Orson II. Guymon in the presence ol the immediate families and close friends of the bi ides and bridegrooms The brides weie gowned in similar formal models of white ihiifon, Miss Lola featuring blue and Miss Each Erma with led color notes wore a corsage of pink losebuds Miss Lola was attended by Miss Merlene Grange in peach lace and Miss Wardella Waid in light gieen taffeta, as bridesmaids, while Joe Jovorsky acted as best man and Bob Ostler usher lor Mr. Evans Miss Erma was attended by Miss Phyllis Ward, and Miss Dorothy Gordon of Kenilworth, both flocked in pink chiffon. As best man and usher lor Mr. Burnside were Leonard Dixon and Cyril Onl of Kenilworth. Mrs. Horsley, mother of the bndes, chose an informal model in light rust with gold aecessoiies, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Burnsides both woie afternoon suits in blue and white figured silk. Following the double ceiemony, the bridal parties and members of the families were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Horsley at dinner at the Countty club. Centering the long table was a lovely arrangement of lavender and pink sweetpeas, while at each end of the table stood a wedding cake. Each was done in three tiers topped by a miniature bride and groom, and the cutting of the cakes by each bride was a pretty ceremony. Dancing concluded the evenings entei tainment. Mr. and Mrs. Evans will be at home to their friends after Thursday at 451 East 2nd Noith. Mr. and Mrs. Burnside will live at Kemlwoith. Guests at the dinner were, besides the bridal parties and the hosts, Mrs. Oscar J. Evans of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin E. Burnside of Kenilworth, Mr. and Mrs George E. Jorgensen,, Mrs. H. B. Horsley, E. S Horsley, Mrs. Morgan King, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Davis, Mrs. Matt Warner. Miss Wave Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Len Frandsen, Bishop and Mrs. O. H Guymon, Ross and Donna Horsley. A number of social events complimented the brides prior to their marriages. Hostess Fetes Friends At Home Function Mrs. Ernest Monfredi entei tamed at her home on Monday evening for a group of her friends at a tuikey and spaghetti dinner. Centering the dinner table was a yellow bowl of golden deffodils on a cover of white lace. Eighteen guests were entertained with a program and games following the dinner. Child is hostess to members of the Sego Lily camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers next Thursday Democratic Club To Hold Public Card Party- The women of the Democratic cluo will hold a card party at the Helper civic auditorium on March 14, wuth Mrs. Karen Axelgard as chairman of arrangements. Mrs. Axelgard is assisted by Mrs. Geneva Wilcox of Price, Mrs. Anna Steckelman of Hiawatha, Mrs. Gertrude Lloyd and Mrs. Grace Stalker of Helper. Dessert luncheon will be served at 7:30, to be followed by budge and a variety Of games. Reservations are twenty-fiv- e cents, and proceeds will be utilized to promote activities of the club. The last meeting of the club was held at the home of Mrs Quintin Wilcox in Puce, witn Mrs Edvvaid Sheya as assistant hostess Luncheon was enjoyed, followed by bridge for twenty guests.
