Housing Facilities For Two Conclaves Locally Are Needed Having two conventions such as those of the labor federation and the health association in Price at the same time may provoke difficulties in securing adequate housing facilities, and it may be found necessary to use rooms in private homes in some instances. The Carbon County Central Labor union last Friday evening asked that persons having rooms for rent leave word at postoffice box No. 89 in Price, It was urged that word be left as soon as possible, so that the available housing facilities can be determined. secretary-treasure- y, Funds Received To Continue Work On Huntington Pipeline Parent-Teache- rs JJZ Funds for continuing work on Huntingtons new water system have been received from Works Progress administration, it is reported. . Kelsey, second vice pres ident and chairman of the trades and label department of the Utah State Federation of Labor, explains the purposes of that department in the following article, prepared upon request of The The trades and label department of the Utah State Federation of Labor was organized for the purpose of ac- quainting the members of labor and their friends, with the goods manufactured by members of organized labor and to carry on a continuous campaign in the promotion of their sale. When the members of our organization and their friends become conscious of the service they can render and the great good they can do through their wholehearted support of firms who display union labeled goods we can establish branches of American Feleration of Labor in practically every unorganized factory, in the United States. The demand for the union label means the demand for union labor. We must demonstrate to the fair merchants that union labor will patronize him in preference to the merchant who will not or who cannot display the goods made by union labor. The J. C. Penney store of Price, through the courtesy of L. R. Eldridge, manager, will hdve a window display of union made goods during the convention of the Utah State Federation of Labor, September 18, 19 and 20. 1am BIKEGUABROlCELlMf SWEET ALCOHOL WINES ST.
