Phillip Murray, chairman of the Steel Workers Organizing committee, vice president of the United Mine Workers of America, and a leading figure in the Congress for Industrial Organization, will speak at a public meeting in the Helper civic auditorium Friday evening. The meeting has been called for 8:00 p. m. The public is invited to attend, according to Edward Scherer, Latuda, president of the Carbon County Industrial Union council, which is sponsoring the meeting, Mr. Murray recently made the headlines throughout the United States with his proposal for a conference of business, labor and government representatives to solve the unemployment problem in this country.
