A. entertained their mothers at a banquet Thursday evening in the tabernacle hall. The abf. was centered with a miniature bee kive, with daffodils and pussy willows forming a seasonable decoration effect. Miss Norma Hanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hanson, was Program entertainment consisted of music, talks, dancing and a short skit. Miss Arvilla Brown, stake leader, was a special guest, addressing the group upon their department. Mrs. Mary Hanson, stake president, also was present. Arrangements for the affair were directed by Mrs. Effie Anderson, Mrs. Alta Anderson and Mrs. Ruth Golding, instructors of the classes. Dinner was served to fifty persons. Gleaners and of Carbon stake were feted at their largest social event of the year Friday evening, the annual joint banquet being held at that time in the Price tabernacle. Approximately one hundred and ten persons attended, including representatives from four wards, and the stake M. I. A. board. Programs were given at individual tables, which were adorned to indicate marriage, the 1936-3- 7 theme. Daffodils and sweet peas added to the decorations. A burlesque wedding was performed, with Wardella Ward and Bill Cassidy as the bride and groom. Five bridesmaids, mother and father, best man and preacher completed the skit, with Theressa Oviatt, Elizabeth Mathis, Lola Horsley, Laura Wells, Beth Bcckel, Marie Marshall, Jack Redd, Floyd Higgins and Max Mathis Meeting Planned By W'omans Club taking part.
