Mrs. Bessie Mellor spent the weekend in Orem, with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Moore, and family. Delayne and Iris Lambertson, of Parowan, visited Saturday with their parents, Glen and Lillian Lyman. Visiting Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Derral Bolinder, were their son, Ron and wife, Cindi, of Erda. DON'T WASTE mu Learnings. A family dinner was held afterwards, at the Learning Dean and Darlene Bartholomew visited last Monday and Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Rasmussen, in Salt Lake City. They visited Friday through Sunday in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Rick Dove, and family, and attended the baptism of their grandson, Michael Dove. Saturday his brother, Kenny, baptised him, and his father confirmed him. There was a short program, which was followed by a dinner at the Dove home for relatives and friends. The Young Men's and Young Women's organizations combined an activity day together. Their leader, took them to Salt Lake City on Saturday. When they arrived a West Jordan Ward hosted a spaghetti dinner for them. They then went to Temple Square to the Visitors Center and the Joseph Smith Museum. The Church museum had a special dispaly of the Salt Lake Templeforits 100th birthday. They stayed at night and saw the beautiful lights before coming home. It's always hard to see the young families move out of our ward, and we will miss them. But we want to wish Mr. and Mrs. Bart Mellor and family much success and happiness at their new home. Election results were Ira Mickelson, Mayor; Valerie Curtis, Historian; Jessica Barney, Treasurer, Jeremy Jensen, Recorder, Shashone Peterson and Amanda Stowe, Advertising. Council members are Shawnee Curtis, Cody Mickelson, Tracy Weidenbachcr, Kade Barney, Christa Mickelson and Deric Maple. Youth Council meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Aurora Fire Station, unless notified otherwise. All youth between the ages of 12 and 18 are encouraged to attend and participate. The Youth Council met last Monday, December 6, to discuss their Christmas Activity and another lighting contest All Aurora residents are encouraged to decorate their homes and yards with lights and displays. The Council also has a Santa Claus to be given away. Tickets for the drawing for the Santa Claus may be obtained by donation of $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5. On Sunday, December 5, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan C. Lloyd was given the name of McKinnon Delbert Lloyd by his grandfather, Delbert E. Lloyd. Also being blessed that day was their six year old daughter, Jessica Lynn Lloyd. She was given her name and blessing by her grandfather, Delbert Lloyd. A family dinner was held afterward at the Lloyd home.
