Steve and Lorilie Jensen, former Redmond residents were here this weekend to bring their horses up from Nevada and to visit with their daughter, Shelly and other family members. Eric Williams, son of Burke and TerriLyn Williams was advanced to the office of Teacher in the - Aaronic Priesthood Congratulations to two of the youth from Redmond, Dennis Anderson, son of Raelyn and Glendon Anderson, who was crowned Homecoming King, and Christy Mickelsen, daughter of Joy and Myron Mickelsen, who was crowned second Attendant to the Homecoming Royalty. Trick or Treating on any other night but October 31st It wasnt until I moved out of the city and into a small town to that kids knocked on my door two days early.(And I must admit to having sent them away empty handed because it wasnt Halloween yet) Well, you can expect as with this year, too, since Halloween falls on Sunday and Stake Conference weekend. A few words of comfort and advice to a friend: Dont give up when the going gets tough. Its OK to strive for perfection, but dont quit when the obstacle seems impassable. Once failure measured up against all your successes is pretty small ratio (mathematically speaking). News flash from the other side of the world: Tori Higgins called home last week. Shes been moved to a town near Warsaw, Poland. Her brother, Darrin has been moved North of Kiev. I guest I didnt pay attention in Geography: wheres Kiev? As all you dyed in fluorescent orange wool hunters know, this weekend is THE HUNT. What you might know is that there will be a bake sale on Friday at Ace hardware, sponsored by the Gunnison First Ward Young Women. See you there! Munch, Munch. Well, no phones calls at all for the last two weeks, so if youre tired of my silly prattle, call me with some news and I can sink my teeth into. Girls! Get out your lassos and get ready - Shawn Higgins will be off his mission this week.. Shawn is the son of Steve and Arlene Higgins. (Just kidding about the lassos ) Larry and Shirley Clark had some visitors this week. Their daughter Kirsten, her husband Raymond Jenkins and two of their children came to town to (among other things) listen to the Clarks speak in church. Shirley made a comment that I think hits the mark: New people are always given the chance to introduce themselves so everybody knows all about them; yet there they stand, not knowing a thing about the people theyre addressing. Anyone who has ever moved can sympathize with this though. I noticed a SOLD sign on a house on Main Street I also noticed a new face at church. The East side of town said so long to Edmund and Janalee Young as the West side said Welcome! They bought Carla Crandalls home, beside Ethel Duffin. It is an odd phenomenon, peculiar, I think to Mormon towns divided by several Ward boundaries, but once you move across town, you might just as well have moved across the State, AxtellNews Rilla Dee Sorenson 528794$ Sandra Heath had a Roller Skating Party on Wednesday October 13 to celebrate the birthdays of two of her sons Mitchell and Steven whose birthdays were October 5 and October 18 respectively.
