Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Crane were Mr. and Mrs. Brent Crane and family, of Las Vegas, NV. Mrs. Evelyn Kiesel and Allen Justin Kiesel of Redmond, and B rady Kiesel of Henderson, NV, all were in Provo at Utah Lake for the ts ? - Tammy Johnson- 84 that position. Saturday evening the gathering enjoyed a fine program which included a performance by the Sunshine Cloggers A Team of Salina, and a wonderful one-aplay by Susan Kussman, who has worked with Carol Burnett on several movie and theatrical projects. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Robinson of Salt Lake City are parents of a baby boy bom July 23, 1993 weighing 8 pounds 4 ounces and 21 12 inches long. The name he will be called is 'i Martin Jeff. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Shaun Jensen andfamily.Mrs. Jean Jensen, Salina. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dirk Jensen and family, of West Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Skaggs and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Gold and family, all of Murray. John and Virginia Home spent the weekend at Delta with A1 and Esther Jenkins. They attended the rodeo in the new arena fra1 fair week. A1 did roping on Saturday. We saw all the old tractors and also thrashing of grain with old thrashing machines. Ralph Waldo Emerson The past week was busy one for the Merlin Ashmans. They had a visit from their grandson. Navy Lieutenant Clay Christensen who is stationed in Rota, Spain. Later in the week they were at the Salt Lake Airport to see their nephew. Elder Tilman Hafen off for his mission to Chicago, Illinois. The remainder of the week they attended meetings and visited with children and grandchildren in the city and attended church with them Sunday in Midvale. Sunday night they were again at the airport to say goodbye to Clay as he left for Norfolk, Virginia, were he will board the aircraft carrier, USS America for his six month tour of the Mediterranean. Three of these months the lieutenant will be part of the chain of command representing his squadron VQ2onaspccialmission. After three months he will return to his home base in Spain to join his wife, Brenda, who is expecting the couples first child. Recently the American Legion and Auxiliary held its summer election dinner and membership drive. Out going commander and Auxiliary President Doug and Norma Jensen have done a great job and turned the duties over to Jay Lund and Pat Kohlshriber. Nine boy scouts and their leaders recently returned from a week at Schofield Reservoir where they attended Boy Scout Camp. It was fun and the boys were able to work on and pass off many Merit Badges. Sampson Miller, son of Tim and Barbara Miller has been able to spend some time with his grandparents, Rulon and Betty Miller. Kathy Keisel, daughter of Bart and Linda was recently baptized by herbrother Allen and confirmed by her uncle KenL Kenzie Blackburn was also baptized last week. She is the daughter of Janet Morger and Brett Blackburn. Lam Merrel was presented his Primary graduation certificate and presented to receive the Aaronic Priesthood and be ordained to the office of Deacon. Jed Willardsen was presented Sunday to be advanced in the Aaronic Priesthood and be ordained to the office of Teacher. Jed is the son of Burke and Jolene Willardsen. Jason and Darryl Bosshardt, sons of Neal and Marcia Bosshardt have returned from attending the National Boy Scouts Jamboree. They had a wonderful learning experience while there and was able to see many different points of interest Sue Johnson is here visiting with Udell and Jean Johnson. While here she attended the Murphy Family reunion held at Granger Park and also spent some time with her brothers and sisters along with Udell and Jean down to Lake Powell. Patsy Hampton and some of her children attended the Giles family reunion held in Bicknell this past weekend. Lyman and Marci Anderson attended the wedding and reception of Lymans nephew. The reception was held in Loa Saturday evening. Best wishes goes to Doug Jensen who is in the hospital with heart problems. Congratulations to Sandra Nielsen and Pat Rasmussen who have spent the past few months in Cedar City attending the Block to receive their teaching degree. The Stake Ho Down was held this past Saturday evening and it was a big success. The weather was great, the food was wonderful and the dancing and music was perfecL Thanks to all who helped in any way make this great event possible. Kraig Jensen spent 2 weeks in Loughlin, Nevada with his sister Kendra and her family. Bert and Sandra went to get him and spent a week vacation in the area. Tammy Johnson andTrisha Johnson drive to Grand Junction Colorado last week to take Jennifer and Ashlie Scott to meet Roger Scott, the Scotts live in Denver. Spending some time with Owen and Katy Christensen this week has been Katys son Doug Jullian, and Mr. and Mrs. Mabe Christensen.
