Any interested teens should 7 call for more information! 529-323- them choose abstinence from sexual intercourse.. The two week course Sex Respect will be taught in health classes beginning this spring. The course has been tested nationwide and has proven to be a successful deterrent to teen pregnancies and transmission of sexual disease. Students who have taken the course have shown a 50 lower rate of incidents. The goal of the project is to teach concepts that promote personal and sexual integrity. It is designed to give teens the emotional and mental tools needed to take charge of their lives rather than simply giving in to the desire of their physical needs. It is a well known fact that the number of girls ages 10 to 18 having babies continues to climb. Also girls in this age bracket often choose abortion. The program needs to have public support. In some areas contributions by the public can help bring the program to the districts junior highs. It is depressing to think that for some of the young people who are not receiving the program this year - its value will come too late. Contact your local school or district school board to see if this program is at work for your teens.
