The tourists are only here for a short time, but the people of Salina are here year round, and have to attempt to drive over these car traps every day. It's a good thing that the state takes care of the roads that go through the center of town, otherwise the tourists would not be able to get through. It is no longer adequate to dump a shovel full of asphalt into a chuck hole and call that street repair. Something has to be done to widen the streets and repair the holes. The grass is turning green and spring is here and now is the time to do something before we are driving on dirt roads altogether! Bad weather is no longer an excuse and if something is not done soon, we won't have any streets. Much ado was made last year about Tidying up the town, and nothing happened.
