Negotiations were closed last week with the Springville-Mapleto- n factory and all beets from this section will be shipped there. This week, under the. supervision of Hart J. Sanders, superintendent, and D. II . Whittenburg, fieldman, for the company, the loading stations are being put in shape to receive the beets and arrangements will be completed to rush the small harvest through in the shortest time possible. No vacation will be had in the schools, as the crop is not heavy enough to justify taking pupils from school to do the work, the idea being to employ those out of school. It will take about ten days, if present plans are carried out, to complete the harvesting of the beets. Gunnison Valley News.
