For the life of me, said a well known business man, I cant see why anyone should oppose the betterment of our schools. They howl at a small axation with which to eduacte our oys and' girls, and yet they will ipend several times the amount of :ne small tax in buying foolish and unnecessary things. The tax levy would amount to nothing as compared with other extravagance. Such knockers of higher education and the proper facilities for the students, should not be considered. The county school board members expressed themselves in hearty accord with the proposed improvements f the Salina schools and to the end f placing the matter before the taxpayers. Legal points will be studied and the best methods of raising the funds will be determined shortly. It is announced that the county can bond' to any amount up to $200,000 end then be within the limit.
