McKay Winkle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frances Winkle of Niles, Calif., visited during the week at the Dan Thompson home. Mrs. Winkle is the former Rose Thompson. Carolyn Stewart has been working at the Kress Store in Provo this summer. She returned home Wednesday, and plans to attend school in Salina. Mrs. W. Lloyd Johnson attended the D.U.P. social, held Wednesday at the Youth Center in Redmond. McKay and Clarion Johnson accompanied their mother to Provo, Saturday. They visited at the Royce Johnson residence, and returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin D. Larsen and five children left Monday for their home in San Fernando, Calif, after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ernel Jensen. Mrs. Theron Weiser and son, Mark, of Bountiful, are spending this week with Mrs. Weiers parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hansen. Mrs. Roger Peterson and Mrs. Paulis Peterson arrived Wednesday to visit the rest of the week. They will be joined by their for the week end. Mrs. Vernon Sorenson of Salt Lake, is spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Willardsen. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lee took their son, Scott, to Salt Lake on Monday to have the pin removed from his leg. Dr. and Mrs. Ernel Jensen of Salt Lake, visited relatives here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mickelsen spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Giles in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Philo Rasmussen and family attended the wedding of Miss LaRae Day and Fred Davis, Friday in Fillmore. Ellen Kay Jensen is home this week from the genealogical office of the L.D.S. Church in Salt Lake, where she was employed. Final plans are being made by Miss Jensen for her wedding, September 1st. The R. H. Club held a party at the Gunnison Park, Saturday evening. Hosts were the Terrance Jorgensens, Dell Lewis and Jay Lunds. Mr. and Mrs. Terrel Nelson became parents of an 8 lb. 2 oz. son, Friday morning at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. Conchia Bosshardt celebrated her 9th birthday Wednesday. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Bosshardt. Marla Mickelsen entertained Wednesday in honor of her 7th birthday. Twenty friends played games and enjoyed luncheon. Mrs. Elwood Larsen and children spent last week In Salt Lake visiting Mr. Larsen, who is employed at Cudahys. The family will move to the city next week.
