Utah Tech Moves Into New Orem Facility Utilization of the new Orem campus of Utah Technical Provo became a College reality this week, when crews began moving the first technical equipment into the automotive building. The first building to be completed on the Orem campus, the Automotive Building, will house the auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, and auto body programs. The fall term begins operation of the new facility on September 27th, and all equipment and in facilities will be moved from the Provo campus by that time, said President Sorensen. We expect a better than 20 increase in student enrollment this fall, and our new facilities will help us to handle the large inflow of new student, he said, and when the business building and the student center open for winter quarter in January of 1977, our capacity for giving students an for quality al-technical education be greatly expanded. opportunity vocation- will Utah ElSs are among 10 regional coal environmental impact statements in eight states - Wyoming, Montana, -- Earl Cottam, Division Chairman, Trades and Industries, said that the new automotive building would correlate with the actual situations students would meet when they went to work in the trades. Each department would have specific areas for training as they relate to industry. For example, diesel students will have their own areas in which to learn welding, machine shop, hydraulics, air conditioning, and electrical components of heavyduty rigs. Automotive students will have test equipment, hoists, front end alignment machines, and auto body students will be able to work with frame straighten-ers- , paint booths, and other facilities found in the auto body trade. 107,571 families assisted. Wants and Demands Too often in recent years weve confused human need with human want. Human needs can be fulfilled and government has a positive role in trying to meet them. But human wants are insatiable and any government, no matter bow well intentioned, that tries to keep up with them or promises to fulfill them is doomed to failure and financial Thefirst responsibility of the American Red Cross is to help people in trouble. And over the past 12 months weve given emergency aid (food, housing, clothing or medical care) to over a quarter of a million people. As a result, we face the balance of this year dollars short of disaster relief funds. So were asking you for help, to pass along to someone who needs it. People are seldom ready for disaster..
