Birds Eye View of Sports by Hugh Bird LOOKING BACK In following Coach Beck and his Wolf Pack this year, 1 have had a choice year. I feel this pack of Wolves and Coach has been tough, worked together with a team concept in each outing, winning some and losing some, but doing it as a team. Tournament time is here, and in one week, it will all be wrapped up. love these tournaments. Watching coaches sweat it out. Trying one thing and another. When you win, you are happy. When you lose, you shed some silent tears, asking yourself, what more could I have I what went wrong done didn't plan on 66 being so hot. That's why you haven't lived until you have tried this trade with these young men. Living and dying with them, and then when its all over, looking at your team and asking, Did I get the job done? Are they better men because of this year's activity? Have they been gentlemen on and off the court? Have they represented our school and themselves as young 1 - - a b - 2 choice also I 896-504- 14 bldg. lots.... ac. bldg, site; Salina. 896-651- 4 men should? As a silent observer who appreciates in these many characteristics the young, just cant say enough about these Wolves. Coach Beck, you have done a fine coaching job. Coach Dailey, congratulations on the fine job this year. Its a pleasure to support you coaches because of the good you do for the boys and the enjoyment you furnish for us fans. 5 2 in Orations; Todd Peterson and Tracy Burr in Extemporaneous Speaking; and M'Shelle Spencer in Impromptu.
