Mr. and Mrs. Kay Halesand four children went to Salt Lake last Thursday and visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylven Christensen and with Mr. and Mrs. Pryce Hales in She Centerville, later at- tended the Hales family reunion. Relief Society got off to a good start for the year with an Opening Social October 2nd. Each teacher gave a brief preview of the years lessons. A short play entitled Relief Society, Why, under the direction of Carla Wilkins and Ella Lee Lund. Taking parts were: Anona Peterson, Jan-e- tt Hales, Susan Allred, Betty Miller and Louise Jensen. Luncheon was served by Doris Christensen and Maurine Hales assisted by the Presidency. The tables were beautifully decorated with fall flowers by Irene Christensen and Jeannette Hales. President June Bosshardt presided over the Social. Also on the program was a piano duet by Marci Lund and SheryllJean Jensen and a flute solo by Liza Johnson, accompaniedby Sheryl Jean. The Ward had a banquet Wednesday evening for fund raising. Dinner was served at 7 P.M., followed by an outstanding program put onby Ross Bumgardner and his family, of Richfield. Each organization had a job to do in the evening's entertainment, and the money raised will go for additional improvements on the Chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sorenson went to Salt Lake, where Mrs. Sorenson attended UEA and Lewis visited their children, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hales and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hales were in Salt Lake City.
