| Show cruelty to animals bast last monday shortly before noon a little pinto horse was tied up in front ot of the first national bank and left standing there without food or drink until half past five in the afternoon we have talked about these things for a bear 3 ear or two and called attention to them the fact that there is an ordinance I 1 in this city against cruelty to animals and that people who thus disregard dis agard the comfort of these faithful dumb friends are liable to find themselves in an aa unpleasant predicament we have said many times before and we say again emphatically that the city marchal or some of his aids should keep their eyes open for just such a thing as this and promptly take such animals to 0 o a stable where they can be fed and cared for or if the owners of horses sense enough to take care ot of their property the officers of the law should do it tor for them |
