Through controls such as seasons and length limits, an effort is made to keep the population of fish in your favorite lake or stream reproducing at a level which will assure you good fishing. Knowing this, its easy to understand the importance of having a measuring device of some kind along when you fish. One of the best ideas seen by fishing Mercury outboards experts was a cloth tape rule glued to the side wall of an innovative anglers boat. Cutting otf a three-fosection of common sewing tape rule, the fisherman used waterproof glue, and then brushed on several coats of polyurethane varnish to give the rule a permanent coating. Another easy measuring system is to mark several feet of rule on a boat seat, using a small artists brush and some quick drying paint. The only drawback to this is that the paint will usually chip and wear off with time. Of course you can always keep a tape rule in your tackle box, but its not as handy as something fixed permanently to your boat. ot 2nd NORTH AND MAIN BRIGHAM CITY 723-797- 0 .
