Obituaries I J Ellis Arbon Eliis Arbon, 74, of Honeyville, died Monday, May 23, 1977 at the Bear River Valley hospital in Tremonton of natural causes. He was born Aug. 15. 1902 at Plain City, a son of Jesse and Florence Neal Arbon. He resided in Plain City and later Snowville until his marriage to Fern Holman Dec. 20, 1922 in Brigham City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. Lionel "Whitey" Ipsen Lionel 'Whitey' After their marriage they moved to Bear River City, living there until 1952 when they Ipsen moved to Honeyville. He was a graduate of Box Elder High school and an active member of the LDS church. He served as superintendent of the Sunday school and counselor in the Sunday school and MIA. He was a high priest. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. He is survived by his widow of Honeyville; a son, VaNyle Arbon of Honeyville; one daughter, Arva Moore of Garden Grove, Calif.; six grandchildren; three three brothers and four sister.,. Kenneth Arbon, Snowville; Donald Arbon, Salt Lake City; Reuben Arbon of Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. Morris (Dorothy) Nuttall of Bellflower, Calif.; Marie Tingey of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wilfred (Nona) Smith, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Clyde (Marjorie) Wrenn of Snowville. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at p.m. at the Honeyville ward chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Bear River City cemetery. Funeral services were held in California May 16 for Lionel Whitey Ipsen, 69, of Fresno, Ellis Arbon Calif. He died Wednesday, May 11, 1977, m Davis, Calif. He was a member of the Creamery Union Local 517. He is survived by his widow, Ivy; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Noble of Clovis, Calif.; and Linda Taggart of Davis; a sister, Mrs. Uarda Hellberg of Brigham City; and four grand. children. The family requests any remembrances be made to the American Cancer society. Burial was in the Clovis cemetery. n 1 Ferris William James Ferris William James Ferris William James, 77, of Logan, formerly of Park Valley, died Tuesday, May 24, 1977 in the Sunshine Terrace Nursing home in Logan of a heart failure. He was born March 30, 1900 at Park Valley, the son of David and Menah Callahan James. He married Vera Carter on July 28, 1923 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. He was a retired rancher, had owned and operated the James Bar HF ranch on Muddy Creek near Park Valley, where he ran Hereford cattle and quarter-horseHe lived at Muddy Ranch 45 years before moving to Logan in 1975. He attended schools at Park Valley, the BYU academy at Logan and Henagers Business school at Ogden. He had been the cattlemens representative for the Bureau of Land Management district No. 1 for 27 years. He had been Sunday school superintendent for five years and served as counselor in the Park Valley bishopric for 13 years. He was a high priest in the LDS church. He is survived by his widow of Logan; three sons, J. Carl James of Blackfoot, Idaho; Dr. Lynn F. James of Hyde Park; Dr. Sydney C. James of Ames, Iowa; 17 grandchildren, two three sisters, Mrs. Archie (Menah) Rose and Mrs. Leo (Elise) Meacham, both of Brigham City; Mrs. Earl (Ada) Wilbur of Ogden. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at noon in the Park Valley ward chapel. Friends may call at the Olsen Funeral Home, 205 South First East, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and the Park Valley ward chapel Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services. Burial in the Brigham City cemetery. s. Ross C. Wood Ross C. Wood, 70, of Fielding, died Saturday, May 21, 1977, in the LDS hospital at Salt Lake City of cancer. He was born March 18, 1907, in Fielding, a son of Jonathan David, Jr., and Phebe Gleason Wood. He married Cleo Farnsworth on Aug. 25, 1928, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He was reared and educated in Bear River valley and was a retired farmer. He was formerly employed at the U&I Sugar company in Garland for 40 years. He was a high priest in the Fielding LDS ward and had served as a member of the bishopric, YMMIA superintendent, high priest group secretary, softball coach and home teacher. Surviving are his widow of Fielding; one son and two daughters, Harvey R. Wood, Mrs. Norman (DeeAnn) Rudd, both of Fielding; Mrs. Jay (Carla) Risenmay, Rexburg, Idaho; seven 16 grandchildren and are one brother and five sisters, David G. Wood, Gardena, Calif.; Mrs. Jed (Roxie) Allred, Tujunga, Calif.; Mrs. Don (Adeene) Weir, San Pedro, Calif.; Mrs. Ernest (Viola) Elm, Ogden; Mrs. Marvin (Letha) Stenquist, Tremonton; Mrs. Craig (Phebe) Pinder, Logan. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Fielding Ward chapel with Bishop Richard N. Petersen officiating. Rees Julia Priscilla Roundy Rees, Tremonton, died Tuesday, May 24, 1977, at an Ogden nursing home. She was born March 26, 1893, in Provo, a daughter of Samuel H. and Eugenia Elmira Taylor Roundy. She was married to Guy Leslie Rees on March 26, 1913, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She was reared and educated in Mapleton, Utah, and Cache county. She and her husband moved to Fielding after their marriage. They lived there until moving to Tremonton later. She had worked in the LDS Primary organization, serving as organist, and worked in the Relief society as a visiting teacher. She is survived by four sons, G. Leslie Rees, Tremonton; Max Eugene Rees, Kaysville; Dean R. Rees, Logan; Jon Verl Rees, Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Clarence Roundy, Sanpete county; Leonard Roundy, Price. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28, at Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton beginning at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. a and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. He is survived by his widow of Willard; three daughters, Mrs. Boyd D. (Beverley) Nelson of Willard; Mrs. Sid N. (Joyce) Cook of Ogden ; and Mrs. Dee F. (Frances) Andersen of Bountiful, 12 grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren; a brother and two sisters, Francis G. Ncholas of Ogden; Mrs. H. Dean Parry of Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Harold Stoker of Hanford, Calif. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Myers Mortuary chapel in Ogden with Bishop Gay W. Pettingill officiating. She died Sunday, May 22, 1977 at her home in Pasadena of causes incident to age. She was born Oct. 20, 1891 at Brigham City, to Robert Lemming and Mary Ellen (Mamie) Mack Fishburn. She was married to Milton Edward Hubbard in 1921. He preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Utah A variety of activities are on tap at the Brigham City Senior Citizens center during the coming week and Director Marva Frost this week issued an invitation to area seniors to enjoy these activities with us. The regular Friday noon luncheon will be followed by a program featuring Glen Taylor who will show pictures and speak about the camp at Pine Glen Cove which is for seniors. Menu for the day will be meat loaf, cabbage with cheese sauce, hot rolls, green salad, home-mad- e cake and ice cream punch and coffee. It will be prepared under the direction of food supervisor Erma Barfuss. Reservations for the meal and for transportation to the center should be made by Thursday afternoon, call State university where she was affiliated with Chi Omega sorority. Marble ' Brian Cornwall Marble, 26, of was found dead Sunday evening. May 22, 1977, at his home of a gunshot wound. He was born Dec. 16, 1950, in Tremonton, a son of Boyd S. and Cheryl Rae Cornwall Marble. He was a graduate of Bear River High school and Garland LDS seminary and was a Sterling Scholar nominee in art. He also was vice president of the Key club and president of the a cappella choir. He was a dance major at the University of Utah. He was an elder in the Bothwell LDS ward. He filled an LDS mission in the North Indian mission from 1970 to 1972 and had served as assistant to the mission president. He achieved the rank of Life Scout and was a priesthood pianist. He was employed at Thiokol corporation. Surviving are his parents of Bothwell; three brothers and one sister, Randall Boyd Marble, Basin City, Wash.); Gregory C.
