She will be reporting on her mission. May 8 in the Perry Second ward at 4 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend, according to Bishop Robert Lund. She is the daughter of Leon Christensen of Perry. She labored in Gainesville, Auburn, Ala., and Athens, Ga., among other areas. Janet Christensen will report . . Farewell slated on Sunday Chell Winegar has accepted a call to serve the Lord in the North Carolina Greensboro Mission of the LDS church. Chell is the son of Lu Dean Winegar and has been living in Brigham City with his uncle, Bishop Jay Hall. He is a graduate of Box Elder High and LDS Seminary. A farewell program will be held for him during the regular sacrament meeting of the Brigham City 14th ward at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, in the North stake center. Bishop Elden Jackman has invited all friends and relatives to join with him during that meeting. Elder Winegar will enter the mission home May 21. Varsel F. Bott to Pittsburgh . . Elder Kevin D. Sorensen of Mantua, will be honored at a farewell testimonial Sunday at the Mantua ward at 6 p.m. Elder Sorensen has accepted a call to serve in the Uruaguay Montevideo mission. He enters the Language Training mission May 12. All friends and relatives of the elder are invited to attend. There will be an open house at his home following the church services. to England Elder Russell J. Pierson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Earl Pierson of Plymouth, has been called to labor in the England Manchester mission for the LDS church. He will enter the mission home May 21 and will depart for England May 21. His farewell testimonial will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Belmont ward chapel in West Fielding. All relatives and friends of the elder are encouraged to attend. Willard elder will talk Corinne Pittsburgh, Penn. Varsel is a graduate of Box Elder High school where he was active in FFA. He has been awarded a Duty to God award. And he has been working on the Smoot Brothers and the Elmer Brangal farms. At last report he was making satisfactory progress. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Lish welcomed their third granddaughter May 1. She was born to Kathy and Kim Birch in the Logan hospital. It is their first child. Kathy and Kim live in Gillette, Wyo. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Birch, Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Lish, Deweyville, are of little Miss Birch. ed. A dinner was prepared and served by members of the Deweyville Relief society. Arrangements for this affair were made by president of the association, Rupert Blackham. An entertaining program was presented by the Wayne Blanchard family from Tremonton. It was the yearly spring meeting for this group and Afton Forsgren, state president of the association, and also a director of the Utah Retired Teachers association was present, as was Mrs. Jennie Kearl new state president.
