Intermountain takes the road against UCLA...er, Grantsville Friday in a game that could mean the whole season for the team. Not that Grantsville is like UCLA on the basketball court, but winning on the Cowboy court is akin to whipping the Bruins at home. The Eagles are tied for third with Lehi and it's worthy to note here that only three teams from the region go to state. And Thursdays slate of games should prove interesting come Friday morning. Morgan ) travels to the black hole of Calcutta at Union ) in a test that could knot the leadership. Wasatch goes to and the Eagles Lehi ) ) hope the Wasps have enough left to dump the Pioneers. As for Intermountain, to defeat Grantswould at least keep them in a tie ville (2-for third and a win coupled with a victory by Morgan would tie them for second place, much more secure than a tie for third. Coach Rohmer had a fine game from Tom Querta, Nelson Standish, Terrance Covers-up- , Myron Oldbull, Terrance Reed, John Locklear, and Jasper and Etting Half, but some key turnovers gave the game to the Wasps last Friday. The Eagles have been working hard on the turnovers this week and along with the improvement of Quertas shooting eye to combine with those of Covers-u- p and Standish, will give a strong offensive punch. The key to the game could be foul shooting. The Eagles had a better time at the line last week and should continue that string with tonights game. Saturday at bowery and Tami Dunn, third; Jeff Bell and Becky Johnson, fourth. Breast stroke winners in several events were: Lee Wells, Tami Dunn and Boyd Welch, first; Kay Bradford, Jason Nelson and Kerrie Carr, second; Julie Walker, Peggy Hurst, third; Jana Walker and Kleigh Humphrey, fourth; Becky son, fifth. Dog Thief The man who owned the corner fruit store had a problem. Every day, a dog would come by, steal an apple, and eat it . Finally, the owner went to the police station and reported the dog to the desk sergeant. I can't do anything about it," the sergeant shrugged, hes probably a police adding, dog" Really Training some guys and teams who are really training, really giving that track and the weather reports a close scrutiny, (nothing but the best will do now, oiling chariot wheels, inspecting harness and Ill bet some of them are on diets to be just that little bit lighter, it all helps. If you think this isnt so, come and watch next week, watch next week.
