Harris were among those who attended the inauguration of Idahos new governor, John V. Evans Jan. 24th which took place on the second floor rotunda area of the state capitol building in Boise. They left Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gleed of Malad and were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Madsen of Wendell, Idaho. Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Gleed and Mrs. Madsen are sisters. The Madsens joined the group and accompanied them to the inauguration. They returned to their home Monday night. Burial services were conducted Friday at the Portage cemetery for Mrs. Luetta Barnes John, 45. Mrs. John died Jan. 18 Medical at the Doxey-Hatc- h center after a lingering illness. She was the widow of Gerwin A. of the John and daughter-in-lalate William (Bill) and Annie Kemp John. Among survivors were two sons and one daughter. Funeral services were conducted Friday at Tremonton Third ward chapel with Bishop Reed C. Jensen conducting. Russell Boyd Rogers ; 4 v 1956. He was a retired farmer and past was manager of the in the Northern Utah Farmers Grain Coop for 14 years. He had worked for the Utah-- ' Idaho Sugar company and worked 11 years for Thiokol Corp. He was a high ' : ! priest in the Garland First ward. He had served as elder's quorum secretary, home teach-- ' er and a temple worker for three years. Surviving is his widow of Garland; two sons and four daughters, Norman T. Rogers of Brigham City; Burke W. Rogers of Garland; Mrs. Edith Thompson of Tremonton; Mrs. Ralph (Lavon) Price of Ogden; Mrs. William (Marilyn) Harris y of Shoshone, Idaho; Mrs. (Arlene) Stark of Shelley, Idaho; A son, LaMont Rogers, preceeded him in death. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 15 two brothers and three sisters, E.N. Rogers of Spokane, Wash.; Horace B. Rogers of Salina, Kan.; Mrs. Permilla Bean of Layton; Mrs. Leah Oyler of East Garland; and Mrs. Gus (Ethel) Forsborg of Garland. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at noon in the Del-Ra- Garland Tabernacle. Friends may call at Rogers mortuary in Tremonton Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial in the Honeyville Vernal E. Vernal E. Facer, Facer 71, of 1317 Grant avenue, Ogden, died Jan. 24, 1977, in McKay-Dee hospital. He was born March 22, 1905, in Willard, a son of Prior and Laura Williams Facer. He married Laurel Chase in "Ogderf dn June 14, 1929. The Imarriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He had been employed as a salesman for 40 years at Royal Bakery and Eddys bakery before retiring. He was a member of the Mound Fort LDS ward and formerly served as bishop, high priest group leader and home teacher. He had been Aaronic priesthood general secretary in the Eighth ward and a temple worker in the Ogden temple and Logan temple. Surviving are his widow of Ogden; two sons and one daughter, Lamar C. Facer, Salt Lake City; John V. Facer, Brigham City; Mrs. Gary (Elaine) Chadwick, Bountiful; 16 grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, four Monday, Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Melba Johns, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Wesley (Mildred) Jackson, Ogden. Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in the Myers Mortuary chapel in Ogden with Bishop Betty N. Reese Betty Nelson Reese, 53, of 657 East First North, Brigham City, died Monday, Jan. 24, 1977 at her home. She was born April 14, 1923 at Pleasant View, a daughter of J. Edwin and Ruth Matthews Nelson. She was married to John H. Reese Sept. 5, 1945 at Ogden. He died June 19, 1974. She was reared and educated in Ogden and was a graduate of the University of Utah. She was a member of the LDS church. She is survived by a son, John E. Reese of Brigham City; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Susan) McRea of Centerville; Mrs. Dennis (Martha) Petersen of Brigham City; her mother, Mrs. Ruth M. Nelson of Ogden; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. William (Sharon) Leake of Palo Verdes, Calif.; Mrs. Thomas (Jolene) Starkey of Kaysville; Mrs. Darrell (Shirley) Curto of Fremont, Calif. Graveside services will be held Thursday (today) at 11 a.m. at the Brigham City cemetery with Bishop Vern Petersen conducting. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the charity of choice. Idaho Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Ora H. John were Idaho visitors on Monday and Tuesday of last week. They Utah State university Extension Service is holding a corn and alfalfa information meeting Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. in the civic center at Tremonton. According to Harold Lindsay, Box Elder County Extension agent, topics discussed will include results of both corn and alfalfa variety trials conducted by Utah State university last year. Grand- parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Morris and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Howell of Portage. Great grandmothers are Mrs. Ethel Henderson of Robin, Idaho and Mrs. Nellie Richards of Malad. The babys brother, David has spent the week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris. e relationship to maturity will be available. Results are available on alfalfa variety trials grown in Box Elder county for a three year period. Other topics to be discussed include insect and weed control. Some discussion will be centered around the problem of water shortages and steps that should be taken to make the best use of the water we will have available. They also visited at Clearfield with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Yarman and family. Elder Devere Harris attended conference meetings at Twin Fails during the weekend. He assisted Elder Tom Perry reorganize the Twin Falls West stake. He left Friday and returned to his home Sunday night. He had been in the intensive care unit in serious condition. Trailer taken Someone has stolen a flatbed trailer from a field near North City, was 630 North Third West in Brigham City. Police said the trailer, valued $2,200, was taken some time before it was reported stolen on Jan. 21. The unit was owned by Vernon W. Tucker, police at Ogden police said Weirs car was invovled in an accident with another at 29th and Jefferson about 9:30 a.m. Monday. A passenger in the other vehicle, William Rendon, 20, Ogden received bruises while the driver of the other car, Manuel J.
