This time it stumbled over tall wheat grass clumps, when Harold was roping a sick calf. Well, instead of lassoing his calf, he roped his foot. He started to yell at his horse. But, the sorrel didnt want to be cursed rso he headed for home one quarter mile away. Hollering Harold followed, tangled at the end of the rope. He tried to cut himself free like they do in the Hollywood movies. However, they were going too fast, besides he had to roll over to miss the fences. Fortunately, his brave wife Terry came to the rescue. She got the horse to stop near their home. Harold was fine, except for bruises and being skinned. That is as long as he didnt lay down, wear any clothes or sit down. For three weeks he rested on his stomach. This experience did change him from being a hard and fast one who ties his rope to roper to a dally the sadle horn roper, one who just wraps his rope around the saddle horn. Mickey.
