Aldersgate' Church school sessions are from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. each Tuesday in Gillespie Hall for all children aged three through sixth grade. Junior high youth gather for their weekly study and discussion session in a special Breakfast Club held at 7:15 a.m. each Thursday at Gillespie hall. Presbyterian Community church is the oldest continually worshiping Protestant congregation in Brigham City, and the congregation extends a hand of welcome to anyone who is searching for a church home in this community. Remember Methodist The members and friends of the Aldersgate United Methodist church, will share in a k supper event at the Solid Rock, 435 East Seventh South, Brigham City, this Saturday evening, Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m. The evening will include supper, entertainment, the shortest Charge Conference in United Methodist history, a look at the church budget for 1977, presentation of budget-relate- d proposals, and a nostalgic evening of listening and dancing. Those planning to attend are asked to take one favorite record to share with others for their listening and dancing pleasure, preferably records of the late 30s, 40s, or early 50s. The first main meeting will be held k Friday night, following a supper at 6:30. A similar meeting will be held Saturday night, following a spaghetti supper, beginning at 6:30 Reservations for the latter should be called in to the church by Thursday night. If you cant come to the supper, youre still invited to come to the meeting which begins earh evening about 7:30. All will be cordially welcome. This will climax the Lay Witness Mission weekend. by Mrs. Max Nelson The residents of Perry, especially the young ones, had a great time last Friday evening at the annual Halloween carnival sponsored by the PTA. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. supper was served to the many in attendance. While some enjoyed pronto pups and chili, others chose barbecue, a drink, pie or cake and ice cream. The first annual Groovey Ghoalie Awards were held. Each class as well as preschoolers and adults participated. , winners for the most original was Julie Tams; scariest, Dennis Litchenberg; and funniest, Irvin Maddox. a set-up- Johnson's first grade were Mark Osmond, Lisa Hansen and Tina Peavy. j David Wight, Shane Johnson and Shauna Walker were winners in the second grade class of Mrs. Eskelsen and winning Tn third Wslker Mr. Wights fourth and fifth grade class winners were, Jed Norman, Lisa Hale and Melissa and Shantell Thomas and winning in Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Thurstons fifth and sixth grade class were Darin Dryer, Trudi Sybrowsky and Janiece Tingey. A cake walk, bingo, for- Here Hunting Spending the past ten days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Nelson was their and grandson, daughter-in-lachildren of South San Francisco, Calif. Gary, Ruth, Sheldon and Kathy' Nelson enjoyed the deer hunting season in Utah, even though they were unable to get their deer. They enjoyed visiting with family members and were honored at several family dinners while here. They left Sunday morning for their home. It was exditing news this past weekend at the home of Joe and Wanda Sebek when their arrived daughter and with their three daughters. There was a real sadness in the community this week as it was learned the small son of Tom and Marilyn Dinsdale passed away at the University Medical center on Monday evening. The little guy was born on Sept. 24 and had spent all but one week In the hospital. The Dinsdales were able to have him home with them for one week. Our sincerest sympathy is extended to the Dinsdale family at this time. TEN YEARS AGO IN Nov. 3, 1966 PERRY A costume party was held last Friday evening at the church honoring John Valcarce by his Sunday school class. During the evening games were enjoyed with prizes being given to the winners. A pizza supper was enjoyed by all in attendance. Costumes were judged with the best costume prizes going to Quinn Barker and Paula Kram-bule.
