Weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Coombs were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Coombs and daughters Cecelia and Penny and son Randy of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Hansen of Salt Lake City spent Saturday at the Coombs home. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Munson and family Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Edwards of Logan. The Future Progress guild met at the home of Mrs. Madge Anderson Thursday evening with Mrs. Bonnie Garn and Mrs. Lori Anderson as .The members spent the evening tying two quilts one was a regular size bicentennial quilt and the other a baby quilt. At the annual Christmas party members will participate in a drawing where the ladies holding the lucky numbers will receive of the quilts.A luncheon was served. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Barbara King on Nov. 11 with Mrs. Aloha Garn and Mrs. Sylvia Rolley as Mr. and Mrs. Rex Richards are happy over the arrival of a granddaughter born to Lee and Norma Clark Richards of Hyde Park on Oct. 29. They have two Cole and children at home Delene. Other grandparents in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Rex Richards are Mr. and Mrs. - Cousin Stops By and Mrs. H.C. Attending a football game on the USU campus Saturday where USU played Weber State college were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Udy and daughter Ilene. The occasion was Claude Allreds birthday A visiting her daughter Mary Jane Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith and family visited at Blacksmith Fork canyon and Logan canyon during the past week. Spending the weekend visit- were Earl of Logan. Petersen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Max Walker and son Mark of Tremonton to Provo Friday. They remained overnight and Saturday attended the football game with BYU and Arizona State. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover and family Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall of Ogden. . Enjoying a dinner party at Juniper Inn Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Earl and Mr. and Mrs. Darvel Garn. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Asael Godfrey Tuesday were Mr.' and Mrs. Scott Hubbard and son Shane of Ogden. Scott Hubbard is recuperating following major Ned surgery. Coek Retires Mrs. Dora Anger was honored during the lunch period at the Fielding Elementary school Friday and presented with a bouquet of long stemmed red roses from Principal Zane Wheatley and a planter containing African violets from the PTA. Mrs. Anger is retiring after being a member of the school lunch program for the past IS years. Last Tuesday evening Mrs. Edith Udy accompanied by Mrs. Rayoia Phelps of Portland enjoyed a dinner party at Maddox Ranch House in Perry. Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Coombs, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Forsberg and family and Verl Coombs along with Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Coombs and family and Mr. and Mrs. M.E. 'Hansen of Salt Lake City enjoyed cook-out- s at the Coombs ranch while the men folks were hunting deer. Callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G.' All his friends and relatives are invited to attend. While serving in the Colorado mission, Christoffersen labored throughout Kansas and Colorado. He served as a district and zone leader. While in Denver he labored as mission recorder, secretary to the president and assistant to President Gerald B. Lamborne. He plans to continue his education and return to school in January. On revocation Robert Villalon of 359 South Main, Brigham City, was fined $75 in Brigham City court after he gave a plea of guilty to a charge of driving on revocation. three of her sisters Mrs. Janice Nicholas of Honeyville, Mrs. Lola Richards of Brigham City and Mrs. Marie Mathews of Perry got together last week for dinner and a day of family gossip. They had a lovely and delicious meal at the Country Kitchen in Brigham City and spent the remainder of the afternoon enjoying each others company. Two plead guilty to alcohol counts Seth Tippets Hammond, 62, of South Main, Garland, has paid a $250 fine after he pleaded guilty to driving under the, influence of alcohol. He also received a y jail sentence, which was stayed after he entered the plea in Brigham City court. And pleading guilty to the same charge was Roger K. Barnes, 59, of 557 South Main. He recently left for Alaska where he is employed on the Alaskan, pipeline. He will remain up in the cold north for six to eight weeks then will return home for a little rest, relaxation and a long thaw. Mrs. Payton was recently involved in an accident that occured when she was traveling on the highway near Smith and Edwards.
