Roy Lemon was thanked for his years of service to the game of baseball when he resigned as a manager for the Tigers. The progress of the new park with the possibilities of lights being Installed to enable both bames to be played a full six innings was discussed. The sprinkling system on the grounds are being installed and it is hoped the park will be ready for use next year. Part of the decorations were cakes on each table made by Jolene Wood and decorated to represent the hats of the four teams, the Fireballs, Tigers, Lions and Wildcats each in the appropriate colors. Garth Morris, age 46, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Morris of Shelley, Idaho formerly of Portage, died suddenly at his home in Blaekfoot, Idaho Wednesday. He is survived by five children, one of who is serving an LDS mission in Belgium, his parents, three brothers and one sister. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris y hosted an party at their summer home in Liberty on Saturday of last week with Mr. Harris National Public insurance agents, their wives and families as guests, 41 in all.
