Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officer John Fricke said this week that some hefty channels are showing up at Willard Bay and on the Bear river. The walleyes and crappie, probably due to hot weather, have moved out to deeper water and arent being taken much by shore anglers, he said. But those anglers fishing late into the night are doing very well for channel cats in the pound to three-poun- d category. Favorite Bait He said although most catfish anglers have a favorite bait, the trusty worm is still doing the most damage. The best angling has been on the southeast corner of Willard Bay, while river anglers have found success in the deeper holes all along the slow, meandering Bear river. He said some small blue gills are biting at Willard Bay, but few are in the keeper class. For trout fishermen, Box Elder creek has been fair but pressure has been light, Fricke noted. Some browns and planters are showing up for the angler who doesnt mind crawling around in the brush and fishing hard to get at holes. yivng SALE 55 1x4x6 racing v FENCE SeieCcs eiretrj Oops roflocross 10-- 4-- 6 vmuv Parsons. place. 1 1 Thursday, July 31, 1975 Kext gomes Tuesday Childs, R.
