Mr. and Mrs. Howard Facer of Taylorsville left Friday for their home after spending the week with Mrs. Facers mother, Mrs. Esther John. Guest Speaker Elder Devere Harris was the guest speaker at the USU In- stitute of Religion fireside Sunday evening with 1200 students in attendance. Mrs. Harris and daughter Lori accompanied him to the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Noel D. Gibbs, sons Chris and Wes of Monroe, were Saturday guests of Noels parents, Mr. and Mrs. David P. Gibbs. Dustin Cannon of North Ogden spent the weekend with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielsen. Marlene John of Laketown and Peggy Sue John of Logan spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Wynn John. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Williams of St. John visited Bunderson school testing the fifth graders. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Johnsen received word that their son Dan$ and his wife Lu Ann in Tacoma, Wash., are the proud parents of a baby girl born April 8. The tiny five pounds six ounce baby will be given the name Jillese. They also have a son Shad who will be two in June. Proud grandparents besides the Johnsens are Mr. and Mrs. William Lichifeld of Corinne, great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Christensen of Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin A. Johnsen of Bear River City, Mr. Robert C. Lichfield of Brigham City and Nita Carey of Ogden, and a great great grandmother who resides in Tremonton, Mrs. Alice Robbips. at Wellsville Third ward Sunday evening in the interest of Elder Kevin Maughn who returned from the Shreveport, La., LDS mission this week. Elder Maughn is the son of Jay and Lola Mae Gibbs Maughn. Following the meeting Mr. and Mrs. Maughn hosted a buffet dinner in their sons honor and served 150 guests. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Mrs. Hazel Rose has been spending a few days caring for the children of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rose in Brigham City while Mr. and Mrs. Rose were in Colorado Springs on business. Tuesday Mrs. Hazel Rose visted her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Buttars in Logan. The local D.U.P. Camp is sponsoring an interesting study of the Hole in the Rock territory where the pioneers had so much difficulty reaching the Arizona territory. Mr. R. J. Leonard will present slides and pictures Friday at 2 30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Bear River : school. All who would like to come are cordially welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Gene (Carma) Grangmont of Lava Hot Springs visited with Carmas parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen last Tuesday. Justin Anderson of Ogden picked up his sister Sylvis of Ogden and his brother Kennard of Brigham City and visited with Mary Anderson Wednesday. While the ladies were visiting the two gentlemen Verl and Ona Iverson of Ogden drove up to pick up their trailer house that has been parked in their field for the winter. They were planning on going on a rock hunting trip to the mountains of Southern Utah. Surprised Carrie A. Christensen was very pleasantly surprised on her 80th birthday last week when she received a dozen red roses at her front door from Bessie and Chester Christensen. Later in the day they called her long distance from their mission home in West Virginia. The dance held that night hosted by her children was a tremendous success. There were 300 people there, they danced some of the old fashioned dances and just had a grand time. Carrie called us and was so happy about the event. All the family members who were old enough to dance were there. Frank and Mary Gardner were in Salt Lake Friday night to attend a wedding for a friend and then they spent Saturday shopping and just generally enjoying themselves. Addie Christensen and a group of good friends left Friday to spend a few days in Las Vegas. They will be home Tuesday. LaVerd Hansen of Marysvale, a sister of Von Julander, was a visitor at the Julander home over the weekend. Other visitors were DelVon and Christine Julander and baby of Heber, and Kenneth Price, a grandson. Christine and DelVon also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Clare Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Goodrich were Tuesday evening dinner guests at the Boyd Hawkes home. Merrilee has Hawkes returned home after spending a week in Soda Springs with her sister Ronda and family. Dorothy Pasketts birthday is April 21 but her called at her home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Grimmetts, the Clair Andersons of Soda Springs, Keith and Cloe Anderson of Bothwell, Dr. and well-wishe- rs Candace Holmgren, Susan Jensen and Shelly Holmgren have finished their studies at B.Y.U. and will be home for the summer with the exception of Shelly. She will be leaving at the end of the week for the summer nursing course at the university. Randy and Debbie Cusick were visiting Randys, brother Dennis and his family pver the weekend. Rex stayed out there with his grandparents for a few days. Phyllis Lewis entered the hospital in Logan to undergo some tests and treatments for some problems she has been having. Terry Dallin and his family of Coalville visited with LaVon Dallin and other relatives Saturday. Flossie Ramsdell returned Saturday from a months stay with her daughter and family in Calif.
