Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DeCarlo, 134 Skyline Drive, Brigham City. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Keblis of Anaheim, Calif. Out-of-sta- Church Women attend state assembly will Local members of Church Women United will travel to Ogden on Friday, Feb. 21, for the annual state assembly to be held at First Methodist church, 2604 Jefferson, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Featured speaker for the days activities will be Sister Mary Luke Tobin, a member of the national staff of Church Women United serving as director of citizen action. Sister Mary Luke was one of the first Roman Catholic women to serve with Church Women United when the church joined the national group. She was Superior General of the Sisters of Loretto, and was named by Pope Paul VI as the first American woman to attend Vatican Council II. The following year she was invited to Rome to serve on a Vatican Council subcommittee, and has been a member of three international peace missions. Sister Mary Luke will address the group in the morning and afternoon, and will also direct workshops. Of course that also involves his mother Mrs. Norm Nelson of this city. It all began when Mrs. Robert (Jerry) Nelsen and their son Randy came down to Brigham City from McCallister. Randy has just returned from an LDS mission in England. He visited in Brigham City briefly then went on to Provo where he will be emploved and attend night school at BYU. Jerri stayed in Brigham City for a week visiting relatives and friends. On Feb. 11 she and Mrs. Norm Nelsen traveled to Provo to attend a temple session with Jo Ellen Hawkins who became the bride of Robert Steven Nelsen on Valentines Day. Following the temple session Miss Hawkins grandmother Mrs. Lavon Jones entertained at a dinner at her home. The tasty smorgasbord was served from a table decorated in a Valentine motif centered with a cake topped with a bride and groom. The Nelsens stayed overnight with Miss Hawkins parents Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hawkins of Orem. On Feb. 13, Robert Nelsen came from McCallister and joined his wife in Brigham City. On Feb. 14, the Robert Nelsen, Kirk Nelsens and Mrs. Norm Nelsen motored to Salt Lake City for Stevens wedding in the I Salt Lake Temple.
