Allen have returned from nine days touring in the Caribbean. They flew from Salt Lake City to Miami, Fla., then on to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they boarded the S.S. Amerikanis, Greek luxury liner, to begin their cruise. They visited the island of Curacao and the city of Willemsted, owned by the Netherlands. The ship traveled by night and they toured during the day. They landed at LaGuaira and took the bus to Caracas. Forrest and then went to Lehi to get ready for Thanksgiving with an aunt of hers, Mrs. Marvel Ricks, his mother and two of their daughters, Ann Mellor who teaches at Provo High and Jean Mellor who is attending school at BYU and interning to be a 1 c. raisins. Cooking comes easily and naturally to Suzanne. Her parents are owners and operators of the Idle Isle cafe in Brigham City. Suzanne was employed at the Idle Isle herself and gained her cooking foundation from her parents. It was a fun place to work she recalls. Add to cake batter 1 c. chopped nuts, 1 c. prunes. Place in greased and floured Bunte pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. While cake is hot, pour sauce over. Let stand 2 to 3 hours. A hand sleigh which dates back to 1806 has been refinished as a side table which displays flowers in bloom. Chairs which have been discarded, now completely refinished, occupy prominent places in the Ferry home. Old time tables, lamps, clocks the Ferry home would be considered a heaven for antique collectors. From the picture window in the kitchen you see an old time sheep camp which has been transformed into a play house. Our children enjoyed it Suzanne said.
