Conley returned to their home Saturday after spending the past seven weeks in Idaho Falls, Idaho with their and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ward. Mrs. Conley has been very ill. Mr. and Mrs. Ward and their granddaughter, Melonie Ward of McComb, III. brought them home. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Williams of St. John and Robin Williams of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Udy and family. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Laws of Layton. ( Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Halt visited with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith of Brigham City Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Phil R. Harris and family of Salt Lake City. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lon family and their friends of Clearfield visited Sunday with Boyces mother, Mrs. Marilda K. Flint and with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins. A large group of Portage children, all under age 12, organized their own parade on July 24th. It was led by Debra Snow and Shanne Gibbs who rode their draped Shetland ponies. Following were boys and girls riding their red, white and blue decorated bicycles and tricycles and wagons. Mothers of the group provided a portable swimming pool and plenty of lemonade at the town park where they enjoyed the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morris were the guests of their and daughter, Mr, and Mrs. Ken Johnston and family of Bountiful and enjoyed the July 24th festivities of that city. They also visited with another and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kipp Parker of Sait Lake City and returned the following day. Kevin John was treated from Saturday until Monday at the Valley Hospital in Tremonton for second degree burns received when a water hose exploded on a heated car, scalding his right arm and side. Mr. and Mrs. Parris Neal and son of Logan visited Thursday with Mr. Neals parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester P. Neal. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins and Mrs. Marilda K. Flint visited in Logan at the Sunshine terrace nursing home with Mrs. Clara Hoskins, Mrs. Alice Negus and Lawrence Wells. Miss Anyporo Garcia, trip was not only enjoyable but very educational.
