Arriving Saturday to vacation at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wood and family were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wood and children Steven, JaNette and Cindy of Casper, Wyo. They will also visit Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Schwartz and family in Malad. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wood accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wood attended Sacrament in Roosevelt where the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Wood was blessed by his father and given the name of Ryan Jay. A family meeting dinner party was held at the Kirk Wood home immediately following the meeting. Spending the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Glen Udy were Mr. and Mrs. Steven and Winward family of Fredonia, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Udy and daughter Carrie Sue of Salt Lake City. Other Saturday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Thane D. Winward and sons LaMar and Calvin and daughter Julie of Dayton, Idaho. She was accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Melba Thompson of Clarkston. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Kennington in Twin Falls during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Clive Garn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Zundel and son Rod were in Ogden Thursday where Wynn attended a Federated Dairy meeting held at the Cream OWeber plant. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Welling visited during the week with Mrs. Lela Johnson and at the Jay Welling home in Salt Lake City. Saturday visitors at the home and Mrs. Verl Udy were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Parker of of Mr. Ogden. Enjoying a fishing trip near Montpelier, Idaho, for several days during the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Karl King and family. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Garrett and family of Logan, Paul Garrett of Wellsville, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Garrett and family of Brigham City. Larry Hess left for his home Nuys, Calif., Tuesday after spending the past week visiting his mother Mrs. Melba Hess and other relatives in this area. It has been a custom practically ever since Samaria was settled for the bride to wheel the groom around the hall in a wheelbarrow afterwhich the groom wheels the bride around in the same wheelbarrow. This tradition was carried out. The wheelbarrow had a pink covering inside and first the groom and and then the bride carried the brides bouquet as they made the circle with applause from the audience. This was televised on Channel 2 during the week. Miss Mary Jane Moss is spending a few days visiting her parents this week. Miss Moss received an injury to her back and is recuperating at home. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Holt were overnight guests of Mrs. Lovinnie Holt Saturday. Their son Douglas who has just returned from an LDS mission in Australia accompanied them. She was a founder of the Womens Christian Tem- perance union in Tremonton and was an active member of the Methodist church where she served as Sunday school superintendent for more than 30 years. She was also a teacher and seamstress. She was a recipient of the Emerald Clober, highest award. Sunday they all visited Mr. and Mrs. EIRay Allen and family in Malad. Mrs. Jay Macfarlane Leo O. Johnson Leo Otto Johnson, 85, of 528 South First West, Brigham City, died Tuesday at his residence after a short illness. He was born Jan. 24, 1889, in Brigham City, a son of John P. and Caroline Jensen Johnson. He married Verral Ann Stokes on Sept. 22, 1915, in Brigham City. The marriage was later solemenized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died April 26, 1945. He had worked as a mechanic with the Perry Canning Co. until his retirement. He was an elder in the LDS church. His survivors include seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at noon at the Peterson Funeral chapel where friends may call Thursday evening 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday prior to services. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Udy and Boyd Udy enjoyed a cook-ou- t at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Watson and family in Tremonton Sunday where they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. William Kunzler, 78, of Burley, Idaho, died June 3 in the Salt Lake LDS hospital after a short illness. He was born Oct. 23, 1895, at Willard, a son of John Paul and Suzanne Braegger Kunzler. He lived in Willard all his life until the spring of 1959 when he bought a farm and moved to Burley where he has since made his home. He married Elsa Wolsky on Aug. 7, 1925, in the Logan LDS Temple. She died Nov. 30, 1973.
