Rytting and family in They Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Jana Lynn) Able left Thursday for North Stonington, Conn, after vacation with spending a Mrs. Abie's parents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith and family. They also visited Randy's parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Able and family in Garland. Randy is serving with the U.S. Navy. Enjoying a Relief society meeting in Mantua Tuesday were Mrs. Elma Petersen of Fielding and Mrs. Ann Sorenson of Garland. Their sister Mrs. Trina Larsen is the Relief Society president in the Mantua ward. Their sister Mrs. Eva Clark of Clarkston gave a demonstration on baking and making rolls. Alene Mrs. Visiting Sutherland last week was her sister Mrs. Sadie Maurer and daughter Mrs. June Couch and three children of Idaho Falls. Other visitors at the Sutherland home were Mrs. Etna Goodsell of Mrs. Linda Newton, Thompson of Tremonton, Glade Sutherland and family of Logan. Mrs. Maurer also visited Mrs. Ruby Farnsworth in Fielding. Houseguests at the home of Mrs. Mildred Smith last week were her granddaughter and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Michael Root of Riverside, Calif.; and her .sister Mrs. Ceclia Adams of Westwood, Calif. The two ladies visited Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Harper and family in Malta. Mrs. Harper to them accompanied Pocatello to visit their brother Maurice Jensen. Saturday Mrs. Adams left for her home. Mrs.. Smith accompanied her and will spend a few weeks visiting in ' Westwood. y Logan. Enjoying lunch with Mr. and Clive Garn and family Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Kennington of Twin Falls. Afton Adams has been spending a good share of his time in Ogden. His wife, Leona underwent major surgery at the McKay hospital Tuesday. 'Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Godfrey and family Wednesday were Mrs. Tamra Fitting and son Darren of Nibley. Leaving Saturday for a week at Scout Camp Loll, near Yellowstone were Ned Petersen, Ted Petersen, Matt Petersen, Craig Christofferson, Dale Winkler, Michael Miller, Kirk Miller, John Miller, Tony Hess, Randy Pierson, Dennis Scott, Sheldon Wilcox, Vaughn Hess and Jacob Anderson. Their scoutmaster is Donald Abbott. President Donald Petersen spent the forepart of the week with the boys and they were joined by other adults to accompany them home. Cindy Petersen has been spending a few days with her aunt Betty Petersen in Provo. Emerson Earl was at the Salt Lake airport Saturday to meet his wife, Bernadine who returned after spending the past five weeks visiting her son and SP-daughter-in-laand Mrs. Jerry Earl in Augsburg, Germany. They met her at Frankfurt. Jerry was on furlough and he and his wife, Lynda accompanied his mother on a y tour of Italy. They also visited in Austria and Mrs. Earl was more impressed with Germany and reports Everything was so beautiful and so clean. I particularly enjoyed going to Hitlers Hideaway, called the Eagles Nest. This has been turned into a tourist resort attraction. In Italy we attended a conference where we saw the Pope. We also saw the historic Isle of Capri and many other peints;of interest." S Swit-xerlan- d. Have Party Mrs. Christy Richards entertained at a party pt (ter home Thursday evening for a group of former classmates from Beat River High school. Attending were Mrs. Annette Christensen of Milwaukee, Ore., Miss Candy Petersen of Logan, Mrs. Saundra Roberts of Tremonton, Mrs. Jayne Jackson of Willard, Mrs. Beverly Abbott of Brigham City, Miss Leona John of Portage, Mrs. Shauna Morris of Ogden. The evening was spent in reminiscing and tying a pink and white check crib quilt for their friend Mrs. LaNette Wood who was in the LDS hospital in Logan with a new baby girl born July 11. Dainty light refreshments were served. Attending a Burton reunion held in Lorin Farr Park in Ogden Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Burton and daughter Nelda. Spending a few days of this week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton were their and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Carolyn) Orton and three children of Salt Lake City. Enjoying a family dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Jackman in Salt Lake City Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Mason and their houseguests Mr. and Mrs. C. LaRon Mason and two daughters of Tacoma, Wash. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Mason and family of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Dent Mason of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hansen and family of Brigham City, Mrs. Jacqueline Voorhies of Clearfield, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boss of Roy. A dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dent Mason Wednesday evening for the same group. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gordon of Smithfield. Mrs. Earl J. Thomas of Bethesda, Md., was an overnight guest at the home of her sister Mrs. Keith Moss Thursday. Mary Jane Moss of Salt Lake City visited at the Moss home Friday. She also visited her grandfather, George Parry who is receiving medical care at the Onieda hospital in Malad. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kent and family accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Everton, Mr. and Mrs. son-in-la- w . Dale Thomas and children Bobbie and Brandon of Logan enjoyed a potluck dinner party at Mrs. Vadis Gilgens in Malad. They also visted George Parry in the hospital. Janet Adams attended a Utah State Young Homemakers Planning meeting held in the Jordon Peace Gardens in Salt Lake City Friday. Others attending from this area were Betty Dallin of Bear River City Helen Cooley of Newton, e Earl of Brigham City and the State Advisor Germaine Page of Willard. A picnic lunch was enjoyed. In Logan Hospital Friends of Glen Udy will be glad to know he returned home after Sunday T-DO- undergoing surgery at the LDS hospital in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger accompanied by Mrs. James Westley and daughters of Brigham City spent Saturday in Salt Lake City visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anger, Mr. and Mrs. Darold Simmons and family. They all enjoyed a dinner party at Mr. and Mrs. Gail Angers in Bountiful. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Earl and family Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Earl and family of Brigham City. FISH Ct CHIPS Poison hills pot dog in DC yard A German shephard dog belonging to a Brigham City family, was killed by poison while she was chained in their yard Thursday night, according to police reports. The dog, belonging to the Bonnie Bond family, 810 Oak Drive, was apparently poisoned by strychnine, the family from a learned local veterinarian. Mrs. Bond said her son gave the pet water and food before he went to work that evening and the dog was fine. Another son checked the dog 45 minutes later and the animal was okay. However 15 minutes after that he heard whining and saw the dog in convulsions. Mrs. Bond said poison was tossed to her.
