Show I - V ' r A-- Honeyville Hotline Couple attends farmers confab by Kitty Fletcher boys. Seems as though we will finally get our hot hot: Summer weather. We have experienced a few small summer showers, they didnt really cool anything off, I believe they make for an even more sultry day. The gardens are really coming along beautifully now in our area. Everything wants to finally get its head above the ground and greet Mr. Sunshine. machines have been hard at work for a week, so the bean crop must be in full harvest operation now. These machines leave close to midnite and return early in the mornings. They have been working from the Del Monte Building here in Honeyville. Hopefully there are lots of beans to be had this year. Spending the past week at the home of an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Mrs. Uene Wood of Garden family picnic for all new members of Brigham City and the surrounding area is slated for Sunday, July 15. This event is sponsored by the Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club of Brigham City. It will be held at Watkins Park Bowery which is on the west side of town across from Rees Pioneer Park. The picnic will be held from 8 p.m. with dinner at 6:15. Everyone is asked to bring their own picnic lunch and drinks. Activities will include volley ball and swimming. The swimming will cost 25 cents for children under 12 and 50 cents for anyone over 12, so bring your swimming suits and come out and enjoy the fun. Contest Winner of the Anderson children, Paula Anderson, has once again been a winner in the Cappy Dick contest that is conducted thru the Ogden Standard Examiner. Paula won another contest thru this about a month ago. She is ten. Congratulations, Paula. Attending a two day convention at Salt Lake City were Homer and June Marble of Deweyville, who stayed at the Ramada Inn while they were at Salt Lake. Along with the 36 Marbles there were managers and their wives attending this convention. All the wives were taken on a cruise to Antelope Island and also enjoyed a lovely Dinner on the Boat. California Visitors Received a welcomed call from Lettie Snow of Deweyville. Lettie tells me she has just recently been enjoying the company of five young men that were here visiting her from Barbra Thackery. Down for a five day vacation from Meridian, Idaho, are Melvin and Myra Burbank and two of their three children, Tammi and Warren. They are staying at the home of Melvins parents, Meivin and Elaine Burbank of Deweyville. Warren and he brought is that he really with him a zooms around on, but grandma's nerves seem to take the in stride.
