Watts Residents spend time in Denmark Reuben by Flo Munson A Emil Anderson has returned after spending the past four weeks in Denmark. He visited his Mrs. Anna sisters, Jorgenson, in Ondense and Mrs. Karen Jensen in Ringe. He also visited his brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Axel Anderson in Ondense and Mr. and - Mrs. George Anderson in Kappendrup. He was met at the airport by his grandson Don Edmund and remained overand night with his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Edmund, in Sait Lake City before returning home. Returning from a delightful Vacation in Denmark are Mr. nd Mrs. Aldrid Christensen. They visited Mrs. Christensen four sisters Mrs. Peter Ramun, Mrs. Leif Christensen, Mrs. Mark Petersen and Mrs. Aase Olsen and their families and also visited her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Eric Miller Jensen in Aalgory. They also visited cousins in son-in-la- w Copenhagen and visited in Thisted, the town where Mrs. Christensen was born. She had not visited this particular town since she was a small girl about eight years of age. They report the weather was marvelous and everything looked beautiful and green. Spending a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lester Godfrey were Mrs. Godfreys mother Mrs. Mary Jacobson of Lancaster, Calif; her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Herb Jacobson and son Anthony and daughter Sheila of South Gate, Calif. While here, they enjoyed in Logan Canyon. a camp-ou- t Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clifford John during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Theo Anderson and family of Blackfoot. w Yellowstone Vacation Returning from an enjoyable vacation in Yellowstone are Mr. and Mrs. G. Leslie Rees. They spent sometime fishing at Buffalo River, visited in Island Park and with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Petty and family in Pocatello. Houseguests at the home of ;Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Chadaz are ftheir daughter Mrs. Rhoda .Wilson and children David, and Sandy of Los ; Wayne Angeles. They have also been visiting relatives in Pocatello. .Mrs. Chadaz visited Mrs. Munsey Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fergersen and Mr. and Mrs. and dainty dessert was Baer Shumway. served. Mrs. Wilford Rogers has returned home after attending a wedding for her grandson Gary Toland and his new bride in Los Angeles. She also visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Toland in Mesa. Returning from a delightful vacation in Europe are Mr. and Mrs. G. Melvin Foxley and son Douglas. They visited most of the countries in Europe and were especially happy to visit in Norway where Douglas had previously served on an LDS Mission. They report having had a marvelous trip. Mrs. Alfred (Susan Foxley) Wilson and children David, Heidi Sue, Michael and Kristen Elizabeth have arrived from Manhatton, Kan. to spend their vacation with Mrs. Wilsons parents Mr. and Mrs. G. Melvin Foxley and other relatives. They came by Amtrak. Houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Rhead the past few days were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beal of Ridgecrest, Calif. four-wee- The fourth of July activities at the Willard town square were enjoyed by a record crowd who report that it was the best ever. The flag ceremony was conducted by the scouts from Troop 215 with Robert Wheat scoutmaster and the following scouts participating, Noren Baumann, Mike Holmes, Corey Ball and Brian Hwmsley. The Childrens Primary Parade was judged in four categories. For floats, the Tom Rose family .took first place, Ed Baumann family second place k Attend Testimonial Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Rhead, Mr. and Mrs. G. Melvin Foxley and son Douglas, Mrs. Alfred Wilson and family attended a testimonial in the River LDS Heights Ward Chapel in compliment to Elder Geoffrey Smith, son of Dr. and Mrs. Grant Gil Smith who is leaving for a LDS Mission in Holland. Dr. and Mrs. Smith's daughter, Vivian, is presently serving an LDS mission in Texas. Enjoying a delightful two weeks vacation in San Pedro, Calif, were Mrs. Marvin Stenquist and son Bart. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peterson and daughter Serena of Salt Lake City. They visited Mrs. Stenquist's sister Mrs. Adeena Bear. They also visited her brother David Wood in Gardena and and her brother-in-lasister Mr. and Mrs. Jed Allred in Tujunga. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fronk and family were at the Salt Lake airport Monday evening to meet their daughters Camille and Jayne who have spent the past month touring Europe with a group of foreign language students. The girls also visited their brother. Elder Robert Fronk, who is serving a LDS Mission in Norway. The Fronk family were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Smith in Salt Lake City. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Watson and family this week are Mrs. Watsons sister Mrs. Beverly Cannon Peterson and sons David, Daniel and Daryl and daughters Janet and Jill of Billings Mont. David will enter the Mission Home in Salt Lake City Saturday afterwhich he will spent two months at Ricks College studying the language before leaving for a LDS Mission in Norway. Mrs. Peterson and family will also visit Mr. and Mrs. David Brough and family in Centerville. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Harry Taylor last week was their granddaughter Jaleen Taylor of Brigham City. Also visiting the Taylors was Mrs. Taylors brother and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Alden Lund of Ephraim. Mrs. George Napoli and daughter Lori, Mrs. Sherry Van Camp and daughter Kristy accompanied by Ryan and Dennis Perez of Ogden spent Saturday having a fun time at Lagoon. serving in the North German Mission has moved and his new address is 1 Berlin 28, third place. For costumes, Ryan Tingey took first place, Tim Burbank, second place, and Gary Huckaby, third place. For bicycles, first place went to Natalie Green and trike, first place to Becky Braegger. Steart and Pat Gudmundsen and children, Lisa, Jenny, Dennis and Gary left on Thursday morning to return to their home in Midland, Michigan, after a months vacation. Before arriving in Willard on July second to visit with Pats parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Watts, they traveled to Denver where they visited with Pats sister and brother-in-laPaul and Karen Rash, and Columbia Mission, with headquarters at Alaska-Britis- Olsons Visit On Thursday, Koosharem. They enjoyed the fishing there and left the children there while they spent three days in Las Vegas. From there they traveled to Payson to visit relatives and then to Salt Lake City where they attended sessions of MIA June Conference. Day of Picnldng During their stay in Willard, they were joined for a day of picnicing and visisting by Mrs. Miles Allred and daughters Loretta, WinnieLee, Kathryn, and Richelle from Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Watts and children Wendiann and Darren from Sandy. Pats sister Adele spent a day in Salt Lake City with them, and the Eldon Watts and daughter, Adele, spent a day in Lagoon with them. They also visited the Bird Refuge and enjoyed the swimming at the Brigham City Municipal Pool. A piano party was held at the Roy Lemon home on Saturday June 30 by teacher Helen Jane Lemon. Those participating were Troy Weaver, Rick Loveland, Randy Lemon, Julie Facer, Shelly White and Diane Stucki from the Robert Pace course, Tom Barlow, Bruce Holmes, Kelli Facer, Jennifer Hall, Scott Tucker, Kevin Linda Hansen, included Program Bad-dle- y. piano students were present and following the program they played games and enjoyed refreshments. Game prizes were won by Tom Barlow, Kelli Facer and Linda Hansen. Perfect attendance awards were given to Bruce Holmes, Kevin Holmes and Jennifer Hall. Graduate Tours Valdi Stephens left immediately after graduating from Weber College with a Brigham Young university travel tour to Israel. She spent a month there mostly in the city of Jerusalem and also visited Bethehemj Gallilee, and Gethsemane. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morgan visited in Pleasant View and attended services there when their new granddaughter, Lara Lyn Morgan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Morgan was blessed by her father. Elder Wayne Kunzler now Three Day Visitors Three day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blacker were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Madsen and son DeMar from Rupert, Idaho, and Mrs. Annice Pullman from Seattle, Oregon. Mrs. Madsen and Mrs. Pullman are Mrs. Blackers sisters. Visitors in the Willard Ward on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Glenn and sons Alan and Merrill Jr. from Frenchglen, Oregon, and their daughter and Virgil and Carol Jennings and baby from Kuna, Idaho. The Jennings have just recently returned from Alaska where they have been teaching school in Bucklnd, a small Eskimo Village a short distance from Nome. Jack and Kathy Holdaway from Orem will be moving to Willard this week. They will be living in the Carl Olson home while they are on their mission. Kathy is the Olsons daughter. The Blacker Furniture Company employees held an outing in Park Valley on the fourth of July. Those participating included Fred and Elva Blacker and daughter Cheri, Marlene Petronzio and two sons, Gary and Carma Blacker and four children from North Ogden, Jack and Janette Hogan and two children from North Ogden, Rick and Kathy Blacker from Brigham City and LaVelle and Alice Larsen and three children from Willard. then traveled to Southern Utah where they joined Stewart's parents, the LaGrande Gudmundsens, at cabin in their summer Michelle Mund and Lisa h Vancouver, British Columbia.
