They were joined by L'a Vera Gene Shumway, Mr. and Mrs. John Shumway and two daughters of Salt Lake City. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gephart was blessed by his lather in church services end given the name of Marc Harry Gephart. A dinner party was held later at the Gephart home. Guests included the babys grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. N. Don Thornley and sons Dennis and Lyle of Smithfield; thj great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford J. Albiston of College Watd, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thornley of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gephart and family of Bountiful and the baby's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Gephart of t Moab. She was accompanied by Mrs. Lula Funk who visited her and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Roger Funk and family. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Edvalson . and family on Mothers Day were Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Johanson of Logan. son-in-la- Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lewis and family, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Lewis and son Brandon along with Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lewis and children Scot and Gina of Fielding visited Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lewis in Malad Sunday. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Reynold Tripp and family of Malad. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Walker on Mothers Day were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hansen and family of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walker and family of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton G.M. Kerr enjoyed Mothers Day dinner with Dr. and Mrs. Duane Kerr and family. Fun The Tremonton-Garlan- d club held their closing meeting for the season at the home of Meda Hupp Thursday evening. Mrs. Nan Bowcutt was a special guest. Following a delicious hot luncheon the evening was spent in doing handiwork and visiting. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Rogers, Thursday, were Mr. and Mrs. James Milligan of Seattle who were enroute to visit their son and his family in Bountiful. Weekend guests of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Poulson were Lani Poulson who is a student at the University of Utah and David Poulson, a student at USU. Dinner guests at the Oyler home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Newman and daughters Lisa and Laurel of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Eberhart Zundel of Brigham City and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Oyler and Jeanine Oyler of Tremonton. Mrs. John Oyler left Sunday for her home in Redondo Beach, Calif; after spending sometime visiting at the Reid Oyler home and with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Holmgren, in Bear River City. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Brough and family, along with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Grover and family of Bear River City, visited Sunday with Mrs. Broughs mother, Mrs. Voylet Grover in Fielding. Andersons brother, son-in-la- w -- Nyssa, Ore., Wednesday, yathaniel was a brother of Hazel Morris and Ralph Ashby. His wife was the former Vivian Hoskins of Portage. A dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Silvester Monday in compliment to Mrs. Silvester who was celebrating her birthday anniversary. Guests included Mrs. Eva Zundel of Ogden, Mrs. Genevieve Jensen of Brigham City and Mrs. Jane Udy of Plymouth. Saturday visitors of Mrs. Mina Ward were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward and family of Kaysville. Sunday Mrs. Ward accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harris of Ogden to pocatello where they enjoyed dinner at the Bannock Hotel dining room after which they visited relatives. ho bs?.s. A quartet of men, Hal Rasmussen, Chet Rasmussen, Stewart Reeves and Darwin Hailing sang with Todd Reeves at the piano. Tiny ferns were presented to all the mothers in the audience. Public Meeting A public meeting of the town of Manuta was held Friday night. Mr. Buchanan of the County Masterplan board came to be in charge of the meeting. After he spoke concerning zoning and its needs a question and answer time followed. It was discussed how zoning would effect different individuals. Nothing definite was decided at the meeting and it was stressed by Councilman Darwin Hailing that zoning is actually more of a protection to townspeople rather than the desire of the town board to limit peoples rights. There will be at least one more mass meeting in the near future to again council with the town on this matter. Local students with 4.00 grade point averages include: Jon B. Christensen, Jessie Lou Fish, and Julie Woodland. Ward Robb, SUSC registrar, said that to eligible for honor roll status a student must have a 3.60 gpa or higher and be enrolled as a full time student taking 15 or more credit hours. Mr. and Mrs. Porter Christensen and family visited with Mrs. Mae Jeppson of Brigham City on Mothers Day. She is Mrs. Christensens mother.
