Meta said they had a very nice time. Mostly eating and eating and eating. Deon Ferry also celebrated her birthday by having her family up for cake and ice cream. The Herm Jeppsens made a trip to Lyman, Wyo. recently to visit the Charles Keller family. Jill Keller celebrated her sixth birthday and the grandparents were there to enjoy it. The recent building fund kick off supper turned out to be a great success with good food and entertainment. Remember Sweethearts? Well did you all remember your sweet hearts on Valentines? My hubby bought me chocolates and cholcolates and more chocolates which I ate right up now he tells me its beginning to show. Well thats not a nice way to treat your Valentine. Drain Project Improves Quality of BC Pasture Construction crews finished a foot drain on a pasture west of Brigham City that would help improve 15 acres of super saturated soil and also irrigate another 10 acres. Don Braithwaite, Soil Conservation Service, said the job on the Lynn Reeder pasture, west of Brigham City was completed this past week. Crews from Whitaker Con- -' struction company worked on the project for about a week. Braithwaite explained that the land was super saturated with a high water table, and the drain would help improve the quality of the pasture. 1,900 - Reeder pasture, Braithwaite explained. He estimated the cost at $2 per foot. The SCS provided free technical service but Reeder paid for actual construction. There use to be a cost sharing program on such projects but that was cut out by the current presidential administration. The layout was designed by Herbert Isakson, SCS technical designer. more water into the pipe, the SCS officials explained. SURVEY WATER FLOW Reeders pasture west of Brigham At Fielding General Plan Now Underway public meeting was held at the Fielding Elementary school building Friday evening under the direction of town president, M.J. Wood for the purpose or discussing a general plan for the city of Fielding concerning its growth for the coming 20 years. Ken Millard of BYU in Provo was present to listen to the opinions of the public in order to complete a general plan for the city. A Committee Officers committee had previously been chosen with David Scott as Garn, chairman; Lolita secretary; and committee members Norman Troseth, A Verl Anderson, Gale Welling end Thayne Jones who submitted plans they had made for general discussion. Among plans discussed were consideration given to install a sewage collection system, a city park, the amount of acreage necessary for building a new home. It was noted a minimum of one acre is required for each septic tank. Ways to encourage growth in the city was also discussed.
