Doug and Luana Richins and family of Riverside brought several loads of cattle for summer range. They stayed overnight at Jennie Richins weekend guests City, Utah Grouse Creek Reports Residents Busy During Holiday Tressa Ward, Joy and By Marge Thompeon Spring has come again this week at least. And Easter vacation is over. It was nice to have lots of friends and relatives visiting in the community during the holiday. The Hughie Thompson family were together with LaNette coming out from Ogden and LeAnn from Brigham. Michelle Trush of Brigham was also a guest of LeAnn during the holidays here. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Tanner were Floyd and Ruby Tanner and family, Marshall, John, Julann, and Jill of Bountiful; Darrell and Laura Tanner and children, Darren and Laura Tanner and children, Darren and Kristen, and Allen Tanner of Ogden. Branding Cattle The men spent the day Saturday branding cattle then joined the families of Tanners and Thompsons at the Etna reservoir for an outing. The Montgomerys had a on Saturfamily day. Valene and Gordon Thompson and children, Lori Ann, Bruce and Jill came down from Kenniwick, Wash, to spend a week visiting relatives. They were here with Melissa and Max Tanner for a few days. Anyway several of the families met at Mark and Janeen Durfees restaurant in Sublett for an indoor Easter party. Enjoying a lovely dinner in' the dining room there and visiting together were Earl and Other Guests Other guests of the Bishop Tanner family were their son, Blaine, who came from Malta on Monday and stayed over Tuesday. Blaine brought a friend, Julie Garrett of Burley with him. Mr. and Mrs. Delroy Kimber and family of Brigham spent the weekend at their summer home enjoying the holiday. Ernest Kimber has been here from Ogden for the past couple of weeks catching up on his farm work. Hes wife, Celeste, has been back and forth from Ogden during this time. They made a rushed trip to Brigham Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning a new baby daughter was born to them. The timing was perfect. The long wait was avoided and now the happy mother and daughter are back home. Lee Kimber and sons, Gary, Steven and Scott, of Clearfield, came out and brought Fern and the new baby. The baby weighed eight ounces and a name pounds-tw- o hasn't been chosen as yet. Other happy children at the Kimbers are Jeff and Kayleen. We in the community are also happy for the family. Luckily Easter Party The school students enjoyed an Easter party Thursday. The older students with Lyman Kimber and Archie Toyn went up on the mountain and enjoyed snow sliding. There are still some mighty big drifts on the Junction The mountain. younger students with Eula Kimber went on a bike ride. Then they all met back at the school for lunch and ballgames. Weekend guests of Bryan and Bobbi Blanthorn and family were Dale and Sharon Blanthorn and children, Lee and LaMont of Grandview, Idaho; Peggy and Lynn Kay and sons, Jpdd end Wade, of Tremonton. Delma and Verl Smith, Karma and Alan of Ogden were holiday visitors of Olive and Winfred Kimber. Karma and Alan joined with the Thompsons on their outing. Dale and Ruth Warburton, Larry and Laura, of Tremonton Mr. and met their Mrs. Fred Culver and family of Pocatello at their summer home here. Phyllis Cluver and Ruth Warburton are sisters and the families enjoyed their Easter Bill Kimber, eight-year-ol- d son, of Jack and Marian Kimber, was baptized in Oakley on Friday evening. Hughie Thompson was also there to take charge of the baptismal services. Joy and Miles Tracy and granddaughter of Declo were here Sunday to visit her mother, Mrs. Louie Roberts. Carl and Mary Lou Nelson ! and children were Easter visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thomas, Dwayne and Vivian Thomas and daughter, Jodi. David Fulton returned home Friday after spending a week in Etna with friends. He was a dinner guest on Friday of the Reese Warburton family. Large Crowd (over 100 large crowd percent) attended the Easter program at Sunday school. The program was under the direction of Superintendent, Reese Warburton. Ray and Wilda Kimber had their entire family home for the Easter weekend. David and Eldon Kimber came from Malta and this was the first time home for Eldon for quite some time as he has been attending school during the week and working on weekends. Monte and Virginia Tanner and family, Lindsay, Terrie, Kathy, Tim and Jennie Beth, of Plain City were here with Monte's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Valison Tanner, during the weekend. This was also the first visit they have made here for a long time. Visiting with Rhea and Archie Toyn for the Easter holidays were their daughter, Gail Berchtold and family of Harper. Bob Berchtold came out on Sunday and spent the day. It was nice to see the Berchtolds with a cute little daughter, Jill to go with their four sons. On Friday the Toyns and Berchtolds were in Burley on a business trip. Richard and Joan Kimber brought guests out from Brigham along with their children, Terry and JoDi. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dodson and JaNell Hawes of Brigham were A A family dinner was enjoyed Sunday at the home of Lyman and Eula Kimber. Dennis and Laraine Kimber and family Larry, Grant, Denice, Nadine and Suzanne, were out from Logan to celebrate the Easter holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kimber and Emily. Ida and Wayne Carter came up from Culver City, Calif, for a visit with her father, E.O. Kimber. They also called on Ivan and Ernest Kimber while they were here during the week. Mary Kimber is keeping pretty busy. She, Jimmy Kimber and Josie Wolfe were in Salt Lake on Thursday to have the cast removed from Jimmys arm. Then he left Friday for Wyoming. On Saturday Josie . and Allen Wolfe and Mary Kimber were in Burley on business and visiting friends. Ray and Wilda Kimber were there also. Doug and Kathleen Tanner and four daughters were Sunday dinner guests of Dell and Ella Tanner and visited Melissa and Max Tanner. They returned to their home in Malta on Sunday evening. Charles and Leah Kimber and daughter Barbara of Brigham spent Easter in Grouse Creek at their ranch, Leah said Charles received a newspaper clipping from the Grouse Creek news column sent him by an army buddy living in Minneapolis. He had seen it in Howard Call's l. Ironic or interesting anyway! Mr. and Mrs. Reese Warburton took their daughter, Carolyn, to Burley Monday with an ear infection. The Dwight Warburton family took Mrs. Grace Warburton with them to Layton to spend the Easter holiday visiting her parents and getting their babys shots. John Basahe, manager for Simplot's Ranches, came here from Idaho on Friday on a business visit. Deep In The Heart of A Laurel was the theme chosen for the program on Thursday evening at the Stake House. Emily Kimber was in charge of all arrangements. The evenings program was on Temple Marriage with Bishop Tom Geary as guest speaker. Mothers of the Laurel girls were honored and presented carnations. In spite of cold, stormy weather there were still lots of visitors who came to the com-- 1 munity during the weekend. j Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Adams j came out from Logan and J visited Saturday with Irma and Reese Warburton and family. On Sunday they went on to Twin Falls to see their son, Vern Adams, who is in the hospital there. Snowville were here with Max and Melissa this weekend. They are planning to move to Mon-tellNevada where Kerry will be working for Perry Sargent. It was good to see Mrs. Olive back at meetings Kimber Sunday after a long round with the flu. Also it is nice to have Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kimber able to attend now that the snow is gone, as "Uncle Elmer comes in a wheelchair. Mrs. Wilda Kimber had an unfortunate accident this week when she fell from a high ledge in their yard. Several trips have marketing valuation. Lindas daughter, was baby born Melissa (Missie) over the weekend. Max is still suffering with back trouble and went to Brigham for more medical care. The Hughie Thompson family had lots of company on Sunday. It was a special day for Brain Thompson as it was his twelfth birthday anniversary. He was graduated from Primary, accepted into MIA and ordained a deacon on that day. For the occasion his sisters, LaNette and LeAnn, drove out from Ogden and Brigham to spend the day with the family. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Sargent and family, Grant, Matthew, John, Steven, James, Mary, Ruth and Rebecca were here from Montello, Nev. to present the program for Sacrament meeting. They were luncheon guests of the Thompsons. several muscles and tendons were pulled. Wilda says It couldn't hurt more if it was broken. She and Ray have had most of their family home during this week. David Kimber was visiting home from Malta, Junior Kimber is home with his folks while he's between jobs. Mrs. Bobbi Blanthorn and children, Janet, Sammie and Corey were in Logan Tuesday to the eye doctor. They called on Bobbis parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Archibald, in Wellsville for a short visit. Theres good news this week from Max and Melissa Tanner. They are thrilled over the safe arrival of a baby boy to Linda and Dick Mecham of Park The the Birthday Dinner Max and Melissa Tanner celebrated their birthday anniversaries this week and enjoyed a dinner party at Oasis. Little Cissy Tanner also accompanied them. She had been visiting here from Malta with her grandparents for a week. The Tanners also had Dick and been made to Brigham for medical treatments and now Wilda has her leg in a cast. Although it was not broken, Valley. at morning Brigham hospital. Now the Tanners have two grandsons along with 10 granddaughters. The Mechams havent fully decided on another name to go along with Richard. o, on Dinner Guests Last Monday evening dinner guests of Marge and Hughie Thompson were Mrs. Irma Warburton and family and the LDS missionaries from Burley, Elder Tom Rasmussen and Elder Jeff Rasmussen. Chris Warburton celebrated his fifth birthday anniversary with a party and a few friends invited on Monday afternoon. Coloring Easter eggs and making Easter baskets was the entertainment at the party along with delicious treats served by Chris mother, Mrs. Irma Warburton. Mia Maid Program The Mia Maids of Cassia Stake held their Dear to My Heart" program on Thursday evening at the stake house. Mrs. Eula Kimber, stake leader, was in charge of the evening. Our only Mia Maid, Rae Dean Thompson, gave a talk on Love for Home and Family. Her teacher, Mrs. Kenna Tanner was a guest of honor and was presented a lovely corsage. Others from here attending the program in Oakley were Lyman and Emily Kimber, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Toyn, Mr. and Mrs. Hughie Thompson. Herb and Vera Tanner had several members of their family home for a visit during the weekend. Allen Tanner came out from Ogden, by way of Malta, Idaho where he spent Friday evening with Blaine Tanner. Eilene and Bob Torrey and daughters, Tammy and Ronda, of Brigham were here Saturday. Bob was building a tool shed for the folks but the-weather interferred. Then on Sunday Don and Judy Tanner and children, Brad and Amy, came out from Ogden and brought Judys parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Larsen of Tremonton, with them. Dell and Ella Tanner were also happy to have Carole and Bob Taylor and their children, Scott, Lori, Mitch and Allen, come from Fort Collins, Col. to spend the weekend here with them. Their daughter, Cheryl, was celebrating her fifteenth birthday anniversary that day. Fern Kimber also went along, had a Drs. checkup and returned home. She and Norman Kimber and children are in the process of moving into Bryan Blanthorn's home.
